EDIT: I'm updating my review after i got notified from google that the response was edited and when i looked i saw they also had other reviews removed, which included others who were unhappy. They also initially posted a nasty response accusing me of "hitting on" their first mate who was a female, blaming me for the experience, which has now been removed and edited, and now are claiming that I was never their customer. Quite the 180 from accusing me of something! This is what was originally posted: Not a horrible experience, but not at all what it was cracked up to be. Couldn't get in the bathrooms to start at the parking lot. had to pay to park, then i asked twice to switch boards and they kept insisting the board i was on was the right one while i struggled. then coming in at the end they practically wouldn't let me leave the boat without badgering me for a review (and tip), so now they got their review they so desperately wanted.

Update: C Marten, we have never had any reviews removed. We work extremely hard to make sure every trip exceeds expectations. We had only one review that was less than five stars out of 1000s and we offered to have them come back so that we could improve her experience for free. She took us up on it and she updated her review. It's hard to hit the mark every single time but we try our hardest and will always try to make it right with the customer.
In regards to your review, we still stand by our response to you. It is not easy to run a small business that you put everything into day in and day out for 7+ years and seemingly have a fake name on a review that isn't in our booking system especially when we hear things like I did from our female crew.. We would have been happy to talk to you, offer you a similar solution, but once again we have no way to do that as you will not share your name.

We strive to give an amazing experience on every trip, the same way that we have for the last 7 years. In addition to this we don't have any record of a customer with your name visiting us at any point. We have the ability to track every single person out of over 10000 guests that have been on our boats. There is no match to your name. We would like you to reach out to us so that we can discuss your concerns. However, we will address the other things you mentioned here..
1. We do not own the marina, we cannot control their hours of operation, the bathrooms or the fact that they charge for parking. It is listed several times on our website that the marina charges $5 per car as well in the confirmation email. In addition, you received the code to the bathrooms in your confirmation email to access them even if they are locked. Or if asked, we would have happily unlocked the restrooms for your convenience.
2. While we have taught over 10000 guests to wakeboard or wake surf and we do have board recommendations from experience that we do offer. In no way would we stop you from riding the board that you want to ride. At the end of the day, your satisfaction and safety are our only goals.
3. We would never "badger" a guest for gratuity. While our crew does earn the majority of their living from tips, we would never request or require any amount of gratuity (unless you meet the gratuity minimum through the exceeding the standard guest capacity - which is always discussed before booking). There is simply a place to leave gratuity on the close out form to pay the remaining due balance should you feel the crew has earned it. We do not ask for gratuity, this would be as awkward for as as it would be for you to do so.
4. We proudly ask all of our guests for a review (once the session is complete) and simply ask you to let others know about your experience with us. We don’t plan to stop asking our guests to leave a review. This is a pretty standard practice at all small businesses.
