Mirko and staff were great. We stayed in Dubrovnik, therefore, requested delivery of the 1250RT to the hotel. Riding two-up with my wife made the RT a logical choice for us. We rode up and down the coast and visited Mostar and Kotor. The experience and the landscape views were absolutely surreal. Communication and coordination with Mirko was flawless. He was responsive and bike delivery and pickup in Dubrovnik were timely. Thanks Mirko for a great experience!
We had the best adventure around Croatia with rent a GS , Mirko and staff were very helpful in providing route information and suggested some awesome roads , the bikes were faultless and well maintained .
I'll be recommending GS to all my riding friends in Australia and will be ack myself sometime for more fun in the future

First of all I would like to mention ease of rental with true professionals which are working for Rent-a-GS Motorcycle Rental Croatia. It really was easy and most efficient to rent a motor bike. In addition, all needed documentation, for example license to go over the border is initially available, is provided. The last, but not the least, I rented BMW R1250RT which is on its own excellent bike and was amazed by condition in which bike was kept. Immaculate. All together great experience which I would repeat on first possible occasion.
I organised a bike trip for our group. the plan...two of us would ride to Split and 6 would fly... have a night off and pick the 6 hire bikes up the next day 10th Sept 2025.
We would then ride to Dubrovnic along the amazing coast roads, stayed the night and visit the old town for food/beer.
the next day we Rode into Bosnia to Mostar, Sarajavo and Prpkosko Jezero (OMG you must stay here what a place) for the second night.
Then up in the morning & back down the 16k gravel road onto the blacktop and headed to Gorni Vaukuf then north and back in to Croatia to the coast at Senj.
Next morning head along the coast road back to Split.. with road signs warning "Challenging roads for Motorcycles" = fun... Fun... Fun.
then handed the bikes back. from the begining to the end the process of communicating and asking questions way back, to paying deposit 1 and then deposit 2, to amending the numbers, to picking up the bikes, and to returning the bikes was fabulous.
The Bikes, all came fully kitted out with panniers and top box, the bikes looked mint and well maintained. We only did about 900 miles and they never missed a beat. they even coped with the off road element well as you would expect a BMW with 80/20 tyres would. i think we had 2 x 750GS, 2 x 800GS and 2 x 850GS.
so i would use the same company again if i was coming back and hiring, they are so helpful, and delivered what they said. Massive thank you for making our biking part of the holiday.
Kind Regards
Brian Jolly
My wife and I have just returned from a really fantastic holiday to Croatia. As a long term biker (with 6x BMW GS 1200/1250's under my belt), it felt logical to hire the same model for our tour round Croatia..
Rent-a-GS provided me with just that option. A BMW1250GS Rallye TE, identical to my own bike. A 2022 model with relatively low mileage for a rental. Boxes (Givi 52L) and BMW Vario panniers and good insurance covering the whole of Europe and the Balkans. This is definitely a good option if you want to travel further afield outside Croatia, and are included in the upfront cost to hire.
Also included at no additional cost is the wealth of knowledge and support that the team at Rent-a-GS provided us. Good tips of where to go, and where not to go was invaluable. The great service is also accompanied with a smile and time to chat. Invaluable if you are a serious (or not) biker who just want to have a great time on some of the fantastic roads and scenery that Croatia has to offer.
Thanks for all your support guys.
Cheers

We recently rented two Tenere 700 from Rent-a-GS to ride the ACT Croatia (Adventure Country Track). From the very first contact, Mirko was straightforward, responsive, and very friendly. Sandro delivered the bikes in time directly to our starting point in Rovinj.
The bikes were in excellent condition and ready for the adventure. During the trip, we had a small issue with a puncture and a tire. Out of transparency, we immediately informed Mirko, who was very understanding and allowed us to continue our journey with complete peace of mind.
Since we finished our Croatia tour earlier than planned, Mirko was also very accommodating in arranging the pickup of the bikes. Communication was always quick and efficient, and Mirko was available at all times.👌
One of my best experience with a rental agency! We’ll definitely be back soon 🚀
Thank you, Mirko and Sandro – you’re a great team 🙌
Really great service. Been renting motorbikes numerous times during the past 20 years all over Europe and lately in this company. Always on time, fast service, good condition fleet, fresh tires, no extras, no cheating. Even messages of coming rain. With this company you feel safe. Superior experience! Can recommend 100%.

We rented two GS bikes for a weeklong tour of the Balkans. Mirkos and Maja were great. They hooked us up with all the necessary gear and helped us plan an epic route hitting the Adriatic coastline and national parks farther inland.
The bikes themselves were in top condition and made for a very comfy ride. Had no issues renting, riding or returning them.
Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to explore a less traveled and gorgeous part of the world.

Dear Solene,
We're truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
Please allow me to clarify a few important points.
Regarding the documentation you didn't have mandatory documents as valid driver's license and ID or passport, which our policy strictly requires both for all rentals. This is not just our internal rule—it’s necessary for legal and insurance compliance. Without these documents, we are simply not permitted to hand over a vehicle, regardless of the circumstances. While some agencies might be more flexible, doing so can pose serious legal risks for both the client and the rental company.
Due to the last-minute nature of your booking, our team was delayed 10 minutes by a previous guest, which unfortunately caused you to wait longer than planned. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused and understand how frustrating it must have been.
We’re sorry if our communication came across as unfriendly—that was certainly not our intention. We take your feedback seriously and will use it to ensure we improve the way we handle situations like this in the future.
Thank you again for your input, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
Sincerely,
Mirko Ukas

Nothing to fault about Mirko and team. The bike was in great shape and well looked after (Michelin tyres for example), and the upgraded helmet I opted for was well worth the small premium (Shoei).
The luggage was Givi - easily capacious enough, the phone holder and USB were all rugged and not cheap crap.
Planning another sortie same time 2026.
I would not hesitate to recommend.
