Renaissance Retirement Residence (an absolutely lovely place to live)
As a past resident of the Renaissance I want to share with you the quality and efficiency of the Management, Administrative staff, Chef, Maintenance staff and any other people in charge. It was so nice to live in a place where you could meet the owner and have a nice conversation. He enjoys buying and decorating the Renaissance hallways with art from many famous artists. A real joy for the eye.
James, the Manager, is amazing, friendly and efficient. The Chef provided every meal that had variety, quality, and were hot delivered by young waitresses from local schools.
Any time there was something to repair, it was taken care of in the day it was reported. The other residents were all very friendly and helpful and welcomed anyone new. It was hard to leave such a place.
The Renaissance is a unique retirement residence with much to offer seniors. The staff are kind, thoughtful and very supportive. There is always something going on, and lots of social activities. The location is excellent, too. Conveniently situated in the heart of Esquimalt, residents have access to shopping, restaurants and numerous parks. The ocean is just minutes away. My mother has lived at the Renaissance for the past two years and just loves the people there.

I came to the Renaissance 9 yrs ago and love living here. The people are amazing. Staff with no exceptions are kind and patient and fellow residents have become my friends.
The apartments are quite large with balconies. I still enjoy baking cookies so appreciate having my own full kitchen.
There is a busy calendar of activities and I’ve enjoyed trips to IMax and the casino. There is usually music or a talk on offer plus regular Tai Chi and yoga.
We have chefs that turn out tasty food and frequently offer ethnic and vegetarian options which I really enjoy.
There is shopping and a recreation centre nearby. Not many people ever want to leave and I hope to spend many more years with my Renaissance family.
