We were here for a Pre-Mother's Day Reggae brunch and to hear the music of the fabulous BROOKLYNERS Reggae band.
Good brunch menu - Deviled Eggs, Cornbread, Fried Chicken on waffle, Red Velvet pancake topped with eggs and maple bacon, and Double Smashed Cheeseburger with Fries. Good list of beverages and libations.
Friendly staff and servers.

I loved the vibe at the Red Rooster! We were celebrating Mother's Day. We ordered several appetizers which were tasty (wings, ceviche & crab cake).
For our entree we ordered the 2 piece chicken with collard greens & mash potatoes. The chicken was way too large for me (leg & thigh). Only hormone fed chickens grow that big. It had a nice taste along with the sides but the chicken was a bit hard to cut through. Could have been the fry was too long or the size of the pieces.
We loved the band & the female soloist were great! The only issue I had was that I had to pay a fee for the band when the reservations were made. I have never paid to eat anywhere where there was a cost to hear a band play while eating.
Our reservation was a 7:30 pm, by minutes to 8pm the band took a break which lasted about 30 minutes & before we left at 9ish they had taken another. As we were leaving they were coming back onstage. Not going to lie, the intermission music was great!
I wouldn't mind going back to the Red Rooster to try something else on the menu but would prefer not to incur a cost to hear the band.

The inside is amazing, the decor...the feathers on the chandelier and beautiful couches. The books written by black authors displayed everywhere! The food was delicious. Got with a group and order one of everything on the menu and share. Awesome experience!

I absolutely love dining at the Red Rooster 🐓. It is always an amazing experience. I was there last week Monday for my birthday celebration and it was totally worth it.

This place is a true landmark and it’s almost always packed for good reason. We walked in after an opening at the Studio Museum and ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table. Honestly, I didn’t mind at all. Between the great cocktails and the live music, the time flew by and the wait became part of the experience.
We ordered a Caesar salad to start, followed by the lobster with French fries to share, and let me tell you, what a satisfying surprise that turned out to be. The portion was HUGE and the whole dish felt like an indulgent, grown up feast. My picture really doesn’t do it justice. If I owned a hotel with a restaurant, this is exactly the kind of dish I’d want front and center on the menu, the type of thing you recommend without hesitation.
We couldn’t even finish all the fries and considering how much I love French fries, that’s saying something. I loved every bit of it, and I can’t wait to come back and do it all over again.
