I had the best prom shopping experience ever!!! i had two stylists, Chloe and Lauren they helped me so much and helped me pick out my dream dress. They got every dress i asked to try on and even gave me some of their own picks. I am so glad that i went here as there is no other prom shop that does it like red carpet ready. Thank you for being so helpful and supportive i had the best day ever!
I had the best experience at red carpet ready with my stylist Abi, she took the time to help and accommodated my every wish and vision, I didn’t feel rushed at one point throughout my time there and managed to find my dream dress with the help of Abi, she was so understanding and picked out any dress I requested. I totally recommend to any young girl going to prom. Thank you so much Abi 🩷
I was really disappointed unfortunately.
Red Carpet Ready wasnt for us! I felt the quality of the dresses for the price were extremely poor.
I hate to say this but it felt like a cattle market, I really dont understand the 5 star reviews!! We drove 2 hours due to the reviews. I think thats why I was so disappointed me the most.
I went today with my daughter, who had seen 4 dresses she liked on the website. They weren't on show, but she found another 3 to try on. Gabi was her stylist, very helpful and lovely. Recognised the style my daughter liked and came back with her dream dress. I found the service to be great. I have read the negative reviews about end quality, and poor after sales service, but today was a wonderful experience for a girl who is shy and not girly at all. There's a princess in everyone
My daughter said yes to the dress! I never imagined my daughter wanting to go dress shopping as she isn't really one for wearing dresses. But she has absolutely loved her experience and that is down to Gabby, who made her feel so comfortable and spent time discussing the likes and dislike of a dress and adapting to find one that my daughter came out not only just looking stunning but feeling comfortable and confident. Thank you to all the team and the clear explanation on arrival of how the visit works.
I recently visited Red Carpet Ready in Lincoln with my daughter, who is a size 18 and has had a difficult year with health-related weight gain. With her prom approaching, we wanted to give her the full “dream dress” experience, especially since the store advertises itself as the largest, biggest, and best UK dress seller with sizes ranging from 0–32.
To be clear, the staff were lovely when we arrived. Our stylist was polite, patient, and genuinely tried her best. However, within the first 10 minutes of our appointment, it became obvious that the selection available for anyone above a size 14–16 was extremely limited. Despite their advertised size range, the number of dresses available in true plus sizes was dismal.
It became increasingly uncomfortable to watch our stylist struggle to find options. She was visibly apologetic, and the pressure placed on her was unfair; none of this was the staff’s fault. Near the end of the appointment, she quietly took me behind a curtain to show a small hidden section of larger-size dresses. Unfortunately, the few dresses available felt like an afterthought compared to the main collection. It was disappointing, and frankly disrespectful, to be shown such a small selection when the store markets itself as being fully size-inclusive.
When I asked about it, the stylist explained that while dresses can be ordered up to a size 32 from the factory, the store itself carries only a tiny fraction of those sizes on site. This is not genuine size inclusivity. It is, at best, misleading advertising.
I want to emphasize that the staff did everything they could, and I truly felt for them. They are the ones left trying to manage the embarrassment and frustration when the inventory simply does not match what the company promises. Losing sales because bigger girls are given so few options must put them in a very uncomfortable position.
Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. There are other prom dress shops that offer real variety, transparency, and respect for customers of all sizes. Red Carpet Ready portrays itself as inclusive, but the reality feels more like high-school “mean girl” energy when you do not fit into their narrow box of who they want wearing their dresses.
I hope this review encourages the company to reflect on its claims and improve its plus-size offering, because every young person deserves to feel confident, valued, and included when choosing their prom dress.
Amazing service I went in for a dress that I had liked online and came out with the exact one that I had wanted.Shop is huge with lots of dresses and from what I saw seemed to have a pretty good plus size range( I am not in these sizes so can’t be 100% sure) and my stylist Camilla was amazing she made me feel so confident while i was in there and really helped when it came to trying on my dress.she was super attentive and checked on us even when helping another girl she was great .Overall I would definitely reccomend
I do not rate this shop at all. No organisation at all I felt they are only interested in getting your money. We were led to believe we book and get a personal experience but it was very hectic 1 girl looking after 3 people just throwing any dress into the tiny cubicle. Never advised offered opinions. Never even measured my girls. Lots of rails of dresses but not much variety as the rails are full of pretty much the same style dress. Definitely not the experience we liked and will be buying else where. The place we’ve found is amazing. 1to 1 experience measured many times advised and offered opinions on what looks good and what isn’t so suited and no one on the school can buy so that is not exclusive to red carpet!
Traveled 3 and a half hours to Red carpet ready yesterday! Honestly so worth it, i LOVED looking at the dresses, felt like a princess with them all on, even my mum and dad were loving it! My stylist was raine and she was so kind and welcoming, she personally picked a few dresses out for me which were beautiful! Everyone is so lovely there and the dresses are beautiful aswell as a good price range, thank you for making my prom dress shopping special x
I recently came in with my daughter to find her perfect dress for prom which the stylist Maisie was absolutely amazing and knew what would suit my daughter. However i was very disappointed with the service from another girl which i believe her names was Hannah who looked very judgemental towards my daughter and made her feel very insecure and uncomfortable. Her behaviour was very unprofessional compared to the other employees who were lovely and cared so much about my daughter happiness in her dress.
Me and my mam came to this fabulous place all the way from Newcastle with my Sister to pick her prom dress. She had no idea she was going till we stopped right outside, The service from start to finish was incredible she was giving her own stylist (Chloe) which she was amazing in helping her in every way possible to pick the dress of her dreams, I couldn’t recommend this place enough it’s well worth all the travelling, It truly is a once in a life time experience. #Redcarpetready #Exclusive
