We were looking to move back “home” from another state. We also had pretty specific details of what we were looking for. Stieg went above and beyond, making calls, seeking information and doing the research to help us find the perfect place. He was very knowledgeable and responsive. Needing to relocate to Europe I hired Stieg Strand to find the right buyer for my house. His help was necessary and I am very skeptical of salespeople in general and especially those that sell high priced items like luxury homes. I looked at various websites finding thousands of realtors and settled on S.S. because his "over time" track record is strong. I learned he taught real estate classes as well. This mattered to me.
My house is a unique house. No cookie cutter. 8000 square feet in a beautiful but somewhat secluded part of the suburbs near farm territory. I needed someone who would custom create a buying environment that was not typical.
I had specific ideas about the house, wanting someone "like me" to buy the house as the price range and uniqueness factors played a role here. This was not a McMansion. It is indeed important to find buyers who model my psychographic.
Stieg came up with a strategy I'd not heard of before that was used the 24 hours prior to the house being listed. Buyers came to the house before it was listed. Call Stieg, he can explain this process better than I.
The house was purchased and adored by those who came that afternoon. The house would have gone up the next day.
Overall, he listened to me, respected my thinking and blended those ideas I had with strategies he had implemented in the past, not pressuring me to do old fashioned approaches of "selling a house.'
I'll hire him again when that time comes again in the future.

It's so easy for emotions to get stripped away when expectations are preset unrealistic or feel "punishingly" unattainable, but your approach and joyful demeanor kept everything grounded and fulfilling! (I wish you could do seminars on being a solid homebuyer.... They would get some good training! (insert smiley face)
Stieg was an amazing realtor, the very best. Someone from my church recommended him and he responded within fifteen minutes after I texted him. He walked with me every step of the way, answered all the questions I had, and was always readily available. He is a positive person to be around and he gave me so much confidence as I know he has decades of experience and was providing good guidance. He is also very kind and patient and I felt that this wasn't just business for him but that he really wanted me to get a home that met my needs and a home that I would love. And I really do love my home by the lake! I am grateful to God for my home every day. I'm not a detail oriented person and real estate is not my expertise - I'm a nurse who works in the community with women facing really difficult situations. So to have someone you could comfortably ask questions of and who would remind you if you missed a step, meant a lot to me. I would recommend him to anyone seeking to purchase or sell a home and if I ever choose to move Stieg is who I will be going to for help.

Stieg Strand was our buyer's agent 24 years ago when we moved to Minnesota, so it seemed perfect to reach out to him to sell that very same house we called home for so long. A number of years back I had found Stieg when I was selling a place I owned. He was excellent to work with back then through the sales process of that home for me. We were very happy to work with Stieg a second time after my fiance bought our first home in Minnesota with his help back in 2018. Stieg once again was fantastic to work with as neither of us are Minnesota natives nor have any family in the area. Stieg was like an upbeat, friendly, and candid uncle. We were very open to various areas around the metro and had a "wishlist" that Stieg helped us prioritize and navigate. The housing market was/is to be frank rough and Stieg was invaluable for us to first snag a house that "checked all our boxes" but we feared would be lost to us with so many potential buyers willing to forego inspections or make other concessions we could not. When the market took a slight turn with raising rates, Stieg was persistent and dogged in getting our previous home sold. The markets for buying and selling are difficult to navigate and we are so grateful that we connected with Stieg during this process.
If we ever manage to convince our families to come north we will definitely turn to Stieg again.

My 2022 real estate situation was somewhat unique. My destination realtor in Florida referred Stieg to me after she interviewed several Eden Prairie realtors. Stieg and I discussed the property, transaction, and potential timeline to closing. Stieg guided the entire process from start to finish, while suggesting a few “extras” such as a staging consultant and a professional photographer. Stieg even went the “extra mile” by assisting with moving furniture for the staging consultant (twice!) and helped with vehicle packing on closing day. Throughout the process, Stieg was honest, always accessible to answer questions, and hard working with integrity and a sense of humor.

In 2013 Stieg helped purchase a Condo. We viewed many condos and townhomes, putting in offers until the 8th was accepted. Stieg never complained about all the driving or offers, and helped me to find the perfect place. In 2018 he sold our condo for a profit and helped us buy our dream townhouse. In the fall of 22 he gave us great advice on updating our property and selling it for a nice profit so that we could move to Florida!
I'm going to miss being able to use Stieg as our realtor. He teaches realty classes, so is super knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. I would use Stieg for all my realty need if he ever moves to Florida. He really is one of the best in the business.

I have known Stieg as a for a really long time. He has been a trusted Realtor for me as he represented me on two home sales and two purchases over a 21 year span! (My last one was just last week!) Stieg is also my friend, as we went to the same church, and served together in a number of ways. The best part of working with Stieg is he was never pushy, he always had my best interest at heart and I felt like he listened and understood my wants and needs.
