At the time of purchase they were replacing front and rear pads and rotors. When I went to pick up the truck, I attempted to shut the bed cover and found it was torn. They agreed to replace it with the cheapest one they could find. Since the end of January I have replaced my battery, alternator, a/c compressor, and now replacing the front pads, calipers and rotors since they are metal on metal. I will never purchase another vehicle from anywhere associated with Ray Skillman. It’s ironic that this vehicle leaves a sour taste in your mouth just like a lemon.
Don’t Buy a car from here they say thing u want to hear and tell u different than is put in the contract, it is not certified. They told me they were gonna give me a spare never did. I haven’t even had the car a year. It’s been in the shop several times just like it is today We will never go back to Ray Skillman again
Bought a GMC Acadia yesterday. All the salespeople were super friendly, prepared with information. But what I loved most was she didn’t follow me around, didn’t hound me on what my spending limit was, worked the deal we requested. It was SO simple! They offered but didn’t hound all the extended warranties. She let me sell myself the vehicle I wanted! Helped made sure I knew where all of my buttons were, helped me connect my phone to it. I’ve never been happier buying from a dealership! This was my third time buying used from a dealership and the only time I don’t feel I was taken advantage of by one. Thank you so much Olivia, you met me where I was at- frustrated with my search. But you knew your vehicles would speak for themselves.
I have been buying cars from Skillman for almost 30 years, and I won't consider any other dealership. Brad set me up with a beautiful 2024 Toyota Camry, and Jessika made the financial piece a breeze. Thank you, both, and everyone else that makes Skillman Used Cars the best choice for my auto purchases!
I purchased a car here towards the end of 2023. I was in a rush to get a vehicle because my current car at the time spun a rod. I worked at this dealer & purchased what seemed to be a somewhat nice car. I’ve had no problems with the car throughout the last year and a half of ownership. The car is getting taken apart right now for cosmetics and when the shop took the rear bumper off, it revealed frame damage. I called the store and the manager claimed that it’s as is (I am aware of this when I bought the vehicle) and he is unwilling to help. I asked if they inspected the car, & he said they do a basic stop start and steer. BEWARE BUYERS according to the manager they DON’T bring the car on a lift for inspection. You don’t need to check the tie rods or suspension, the steering? It all can be checked from a drive according to their expert techs🤘🏼 sold me a rolling wholesale unit for retail pricing. Make sure you check out the car, because they don’t. Wouldn’t recommend anybody purchase a used vehicle from anywhere on this campus

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I want to clarify a few things regarding your purchase. The 2012 Lexus ES 350 you bought was sold as-is, which means it did not include additional warranties or inspections beyond our standard as-is start, stop, and steer safety check. This is common practice for vehicles of that age, in this case, 11 years old at the time of sale.
For context, our certified and hand-picked used vehicles go through a far more rigorous inspection process, but your purchase did not fall under that category. We were transparent about the vehicle’s condition and inspection process at the time of sale, and you acknowledged this when signing the purchase agreement.
While I understand the frustration of discovering frame damage during cosmetic work, it's important to note that you’ve driven the vehicle for over a year and a half without issue. To say you wouldn’t recommend anyone purchase from our campus despite your positive ownership experience feels unfair, especially given our clear communication and your satisfaction with the car's performance up until now.

It takes you over 3 weeks to fix a car that you sell. You put in used parts in a car in stead of new ones so the car will keep breaking down.

Found a 2024 Dodge Durango on the Ford Used car lot. Very comfortable working with the Skillman teams over the years. Special thanks for helping to transfer spare tire from old to new vehicle. Dog liked the lobby and staff too.

My experience started out great. I was greeted in a timely manner and met with a sales rep pretty quick. They had the truck I came to look at pulled up and ready. We went on a test ride and everything on the truck appeared to work smooth. The TPMS light was on so the truck had to go into the shop to look at that. I also noticed that the front valance was being held on by a big spring clip, not a big deal, but the mechanic was going to look at that too. The back up camera did not have the lines on it that show how close you are to objects and the sales rep said was normal, well it’s not! Wasn’t going to pick the truck for a couple days so there was no rush. Got back to the dealership haggled on the price and came to an agreement.
Then things started to head south. The finance guy did not take me to his office until the he was done with his part and was ready for me to sign paperwork.
When I came back to pick the truck up, the sales rep had not fueled the truck yet so I had to wait on that, the sales rep was very spacey.
Finally left with the truck. About halfway home the from valance started to come loose and ended coming off all together. A few weeks of driving the truck I started to notice a few quirks. Looking at the front end I decided to replace the steering linkage. Digging in I found that 3 of 4 brake calipers had a bolt that was seized and would not allow the brakes to be applied properly. I thought dealerships were supposed to do a safety check on vehicles?!?!
With the distance I traveled to the dealership dropping it off to have them do the work was not really an option as I was using the truck for work and could not go without it for a length of time.
Moral of the story is, if it doesn’t feel right, walk away.

Bought a 2020 F350 DRW that was supposed to be Blue Oval certified April 23rd 2024! Two days after buying the truck I was in the shop getting the A/C, power windows, & power locks fixed. Have had the truck two months now, radiator went out had to replace that out of pocket, now it is at another Ford dealership getting oil pan gasket replaced, transmission pan gasket replaced, valve cover gasket replaced, front diff gasket replaced, and the DEF system checked out also. For a vehicle that was supposed to be Blue Oval certified one would thing that Fay Skillman would have caught all these issues and fixed them prior to putting the truck on their lot! Now I can’t get anybody from their dealership to call me back, I have filled a complaint with Fords corporate office in regards to my purchase, all I can say is I will never go back there nor will I recommend them to anybody. Good luck if you go there!!!
