Embedding organisational content from Google Drive in a WordPress website
As with most organisations, we have collected a myriad of content, files, etc. over the years, initially storing it alongside our website, which we used to provide access to the information. As a charitable organisation, whilst convenient that was becoming a costly approach, meaning we needed to move to a more cost effective storage solution, in our case Google Drive. At the same time continuing to be able to present the content, a mixture of PDFs and other files, mostly created through the likes of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, through our Website. EmbedPress has been essential in enabling us to do this as seamlessly as possible, such that end users don’t have any idea that the site and files are stored completely independent of each other.
