We had an excellent tour with Vito. He was very knowledgeable and happy to discuss not just what we were seeing but also lots of info on Czech culture, food, beer, music, you name it. We didn’t do the tower but the timing was perfect, we kept moving, but there was plenty of time to ask questions. Highly recommend this tour!
Preferred Guides for Prague
We had a great day! Small group of 8 people despite it being the busy summer season. Our guide for the morning walking tour was Klara. Born locally and spoke perfect English. Her knowledge of the city and its sites was incredible and she engaged with every member of the group. We came across many other tour groups, some with over 25 people and wearing headsets to hear the commentary. This would have made asking questions very difficult. The short river cruise gave a different perspective of the city and the commentary in English was provided via earplugs. Complimentary coffee and ice cream or gingerbread served on board. At the end of the cruise, we had 90 minutes to have lunch (we ate at Cafe Creperie, a two minute walk from the PragueWay meeting point - excellent food, generous servings and CZK970 including tip for 3 adults). Our afternoon guide was Sebastian. We boarded a tram to go up the steep hill to the Castle (tickets paid for by the guide). Also locally born, with excellent English, he had spent 8 years in Yorkshire UK which left him with a mixture of a Czech and Midlands accent. A goldmine of information, all delivered with a personable and funny monologue. At the end of the tour, we made our own way on foot down the hill. In summary, great guides, great views, great company. The pace of the walking segments was slow enough for my wife with bilateral knee replacements to comfortably keep up.
