A Must-Do Sidecar Tour Experience in Porto By far, the highlight of our Porto experience was our tour with Sidecar Tours. My mother and I were taken around the city in style by the fantastic Oscar. It was such a treat to ride through side streets and hidden paths while learning about Porto’s history and seeing countless beautiful sights. We had an amazing time and truly can’t say enough good things about this experience.

Fabulous Tour of Beautiful Porto by Motorcycle + Sidecar — Don’t Miss This Unique Experience! I can honestly say this was some of the best money spent on our Porto vacation! Our guide, João, met us at our hotel ready for a 3-hour guided adventure. He arrived with a stunning new Ural motorcycle and sidecar in classic olive drab paint — such a stylish way to see the city! Helmets were provided, and before setting off we chatted about our interests and the sights we hoped to explore.From the moment we left the hotel, we felt like the envy of everyone we passed. The ride was smooth, the pace perfect — never rushed — and João’s knowledge of Porto was truly stellar. We cruised through charming side streets, visited historic churches, and stopped at cozy cafés, soaking up the city’s beauty and hospitality.João kept us entertained the entire time with his fun banter and fascinating local insights. His humor, warmth, and genuine love for Porto made this experience unforgettable. Thank you, João, for sharing your city and giving us such wonderful memories — this was truly a highlight of our trip!

Street art tour! Highly recommend this experience. Joao was very informative and friendly. A great selection of stops for art and history. We had a nice break for coffee and pastry and Joao coordinated my drop off at a small fishing village for lunch.

Best thing ever! Joao was a wonderful host in a beautiful city. He is the friendliest, most informative guide. If there are places you b want to see..or don't want to see.. He will customize your experience. If you're not sure..he will offer suggestions. He knows the history and the current situation and future plans for many parts of Porto. The sidecar is so much fun! Everyone waves at you..kind of jealous at how you're getting around! Spending time with Joao is making a friend. Enjoy!

The best way to see Porto and the surrounding area A friend recommended this tour and we are so glad they did. It was such a fun way to see the city from ( quite literally ) one end to the other, plus Gaia over the river. Our driver was warm, friendly, knowledgeable and very flexible to include our preferences. We booked the trip for our first day and it was a brilliant way to get our bearings and decided which areas we wanted to return to to see more. Honestly I wish all cities offered this tour as it is much more fun than the hop on hop off bus!

The best experience we did in Portugal! The ABSOLUTE best thing we did in Porto. Joao, our driver put my nerves at ease (I was worried we may go fast) and the whole journey was at a leisurely and very safe pace. We saw things we would never have noticed or learned about in the city. Joao was so much fun, an absolute star! He took some amazing photos of us too! Wonderful fun and safe experience! This is definitely an essential tour to see the real Porto! Our guides, Joao and Peter, gave us the most wonderful morning showing us around their city. We went to all the key landmarks, and Joao explained the history of each. We also saw places that we’d never have found by ourselves and got lots of tips and recommendations for places to go. Joao even organised an impromptu celebration for my partner’s birthday!
