They failed to inform me of details like how they don’t move TVs, glass items, mirrors, etc. so I was scrambling at the last minute, trying to find friends with vehicles to put these items in. Then I was told they would take down my Sleep Number bed and put it back up at my new home which they did, but they didn’t inflate it and now I am unable to get it to inflate. It was working fine before they moved it. They also damaged a bookshelf and when I try to contact them about these issues they are not returning my calls.
Porter did a fantastic job moving our things into a storage unit on a day with absolutely terrible snow. They dealt with every problem we had and got us moved in on time and on budget. Excellent work.
Had a large local move. Everything went well. They wrapped the furniture which many other companies don't. Friendly, polite and professional guys. I've used 2 other local companies in the past. Porter was much better in all ways.

5 STARS FOR Dakota & David M. They delivered our new mattresses/bases this morning and did a terrific job. Quick, efficient, and took all the packing materials away. I wish the scheduling process had been as good. I give the scheduling department 0 STARS. Too many phone calls, texts, e-mails. And no consideration for the customer’s time. Cumbersome system.

Hired this moving company to move us which included storing our furniture until we found a home in our new location. A representative came inti our home amd stated a 26' truck would be sufficient. It was to small and she said our option was to rent another truck. We ended up scrambling to give several items away to avoid to have to do that. They did have a larger truck but stated they use it for other types of jobs ..We felt like betrayed.....Our items was loaded, then piled into an open bin in their warehouse. It was a fairly nice facility, and would have worked if our items would have been covered and stored with care. . Several pieces of furniture damaged and a few of our zipper storage bags with comforters in them had tire tracks on them where evidently they were run over. It was truly disgusting when I saw several pieces our beautiful furniture piled up without being covered up, several pieces were scratched, gouges in the wood out of dining room chair legs, our white leather bar stools totally damaged, punctured and black marks on them and, seeing my headboard drug across the dirty floors with a blanket hanging off of it was unbelievable and showed the care they took to protect your items. There was a small moving insurance policy offered, and we did get a few hundred dollars off of our final invoice, a very, very small portion of all of the damage there was to our furniture. If I said anything positive, it was the two guys that unloaded our items in our new home. They were polite and helpful. Unfortunately the damage was already done.

Excellent service! The guys (Corben, Payton, Tai, and David M) were professional and friendly. We had multiple pieces that required breakdown and put back together. They did it all with ease. They also securely covered and wrapped each piece well. Highly recommend Porter!

I had hired them to move my brand new hot tub from the curb where delivered to the deck in my backyard. Four young men arrived and in five minutes had it in the back yard and up the stairs of the deck. They were pleasant and all business while doing the work. I will definitely call them again when I have something that needs to be moved!

Porter Moving Company was hired to help with move-in day at my son's University of Iowa off-campus apartment building. They were incredible. Fast, friendly, efficient. It was blazing hot and they were working nonstop, and they had smiles on their faces all day long. We had two cars full of items, and everything was in the 8th floor apartment in 30 minutes. We are blown away!
