I was excited to finally try Pig and Khao. On the positive side: the host was kind and welcoming, and the Khao Soi was great.
The experience as a whole left a lot to be desired:
-Our server was pissed off from the go (I have some level of compassion on a busy Saturday night, and it was still unpleasant).
-Water started to cascade and rain on us from wall/ceiling right behind our table during a thunderstorm. All the staff did was move our table 6" away from the wall, and our server just said, "That's above me."
We came through for my birthday dinner expecting a celebratory, party vibe. Wild noise (wow, bass) and chaos aside, a lot of the evening could've been recovered with a more gracious staff experience and a cleaner space. The food was good but doesn't rise to the level of compensating for the experience overall.
The beef Bo Kho + coconut rice was crazy. So good. Khao soi was phenomenal. Service was friendly, real. Reminded me of a specific era of NYC where food and art and grit was all wrapped in love and community. They treated us like they’ve known us since childhood and it was our first time there.
They said they will be closing on the 22nd. 💔

Thanks so much, Jess! So glad you had a good time.
I know this must sound very Type B of me, but I once drove from Illinois to New York just for Pig and Khao. If that doesn’t tell you how good this place is, then I don’t know what will. They have the best French toast and beef corned hash I’ve ever had hands down.
And it’s not just the flavors it’s the way the meal is still sizzling on the skillet when it hits the table. It always reassures me that they’re not just cooking food they’re putting love into every bite.

😍 Thank you, Beverly! Really appreciate it. So glad you're a fan!
Really great fusion thai food and friendly service! We ordered the family meal but it was too much food (i come from Japan though so I don’t eat much).
Highlights were the crispy pork and the pork head!

So glad you enjoyed our Family Meal! Our menu is great for leftovers the next day!
Went for my husband’s birthday and the crew made us feel like their life long friends. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was really cool and laid back. Definitely definitely go.

So glad you enjoyed your time with us! Looking forward to celebrating with you again soon!
It was so excruciatingly loud that we didn't even get to the main course and just asked to have it to go.
The atmosphere, service and food were all great but the acoustics paired with people yelling made it unbearable.
