Let’s just say I would have gladly paid double what I paid this company if it meant avoiding the stress, headaches, confusion, and months of anxiety this entire experience caused me.
I’ll let the attached photos speak for themselves as to why I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I sent Zach pictures of the site before he provided the quote for the additional aluminum fencing, and the tree is clearly visible in those photos.
Ultimately, your own crew successfully installed the fence without removing the stump. So despite being told that removal was necessary, it clearly was not. Had the area been properly evaluated and marked when I originally requested it, a significant portion of this ordeal could have been avoided.
Regarding the sprinkler line: when it was hit, I came outside and your employee informed me that it had been repaired. What I was NOT told was that its location would result in an approximately three inch gap between the fence and my house. Had that been communicated to me, I would have gladly had the unused line cut back, capped, or relocated before the post was permanently set. The project was already being paused because of the tree, so there was MONTHS to address it.
I also find it interesting to characterize the return date as an “agreed upon time” when I was given only TWO days' notice that your crew intended to return. No one contacted me beforehand to confirm that the tree removal had been completed before scheduling the crew.
I acknowledged in my original review that you reduced the bill by $1,000, and I appreciate that gesture. However, as I also stated, I would have gladly paid the additional $1,000 and frankly, much more to avoid the stress, delays, confusion, and anxiety this experience caused.
I stand by my review. The issue was never that unexpected obstacles arose, those happen in construction. The issue was how they were communicated, managed, and ultimately handled. Your response, unfortunately, only reinforces my experience.
Gabriella, we’re sorry this project caused you frustration. We agree that communication could have been clearer on both sides.
We would, however, like to clarify a few details. After Zach completed the original onsite estimate, you called and asked us to add eight sections of aluminum fencing in an area that had not been included in the original layout. During that call, the large mature tree located directly in the path of the additional fence was not mentioned. We did not discover the obstruction until our project manager later visited the property to mark the new layout.
Because a fence post cannot be installed through a mature tree and its stump, we explained that the tree and stump needed to be removed before that portion of the fence could be installed. The removal was not completed by the agreed upon time, and we were given only two days notice that it would not be ready for our scheduled return. At that point, our crew and production schedule had already been arranged. The delay resulted in lost production time, for which you were not charged.
During installation, our crew encountered an unmarked sprinkler line near the house. When we informed you that it had been damaged, we were not told that the line was no longer in service, so our crew purchased the necessary parts and repaired it immediately. Because the line affected the available post location, the post was installed as close to the house as practically possible.
Picket Ridge completed the entire contracted project, and we stand behind the quality of our work. Although the work was completed in full, we voluntarily reduced the final bill by $1,000 as a gesture of goodwill for the frustration and communication issues experienced during the process.
We take customer concerns seriously and will use this experience to improve communication when project layouts change or outside work must be completed before installation.
