Joaquin has been brilliant with both of our children. Our daughter started as a complete beginner and our son had already been learning for over a year elsewhere, and he’s made more progress in six months with Joaquin than he had in all that time before. He’s patient, makes lessons genuinely fun, and weaves in broader musicality. He sings with the children, plays piano with and for them, and has taught them to recognise whether music is in a major or minor key and to identify music from different periods like baroque, romanticism, and beyond. They’re not just learning to play, they’re learning to understand music. Would definitely recommend!

The experience we are having with WKMT is something I could never have imagined. My son use to struggle to practise at school for 20mins, and now he is with Joaquin an hour goes by and he is so eager to continue at home. The music school is so inviting and embraces their clients like family. Joaquin is very gentle and literally brings the music alive for Jacob, recreating pieces in visual form, making it so much more personal and therefore easier to learn. I would recommend this school a million times over.

My daughter is absolutely loving her piano lessons. She’s only just started, and yet she’s progressing extremely rapidly. It’s definitely due to Joaquin and his amazing teaching skills. He has an amazing way with kids - ever since the first lesson things have been extremely clear, smooth and comfortable. The follow through, the feedback, the homework - it’s a great system they’ve got going. Highly recommend to anyone who is serious about their child or themself becoming proficient at the piano!!

Studying piano at WKMT over the past two years has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time in the UK. I should have written this review much earlier, but I've been so busy. I’ve been taking piano lessons for the past 3 years now and it has been an amazing experience. I used to play the piano when I was a child and didnt have a great experience with my teacher. However, Joaquin has been absolutely brilliant guiding me through the instrument. They are also very flexible and I can always re-arrange my lessons which I really appreciate as an adult learner with a busy work life. Highly recommended!

The studio is also conveniently located, just a few steps from the tube station — very easy to reach!

I've been going weekly to the wkmt school for nearly half a year now and don't really plan to stop any time soon. While I had zero prior experience playing any musical instrument in the past, neither knew any single note, I already managed to learn playing basic version of some pieces like Icarus by Tony Ann, Chi Mai and Moonlight Sonata (on piano). I vibed really well with the school's approach of learning playing music. And special thanks to Joaquin who I find to be a great teacher.
