Honestly so disappointed in my experience with this shop. I reached out to schedule a tuning appointment and was in contact with Tom Rudnitsky the owner. As soon as everything was scheduled and set up, I popped a quick question about student pricing and indicated it was absolutely fine if the rate was the same. Tom responded by cancelling my appointment entirely! Completely shocking for such a standard question, especially when I indicated I would still pay the discussed rate. I definitely do not recommend even reaching out if they are going to be so limited in their communication.

Tom always makes my Steinway K-52 sound its best. After the last tuning I noticed a small buzz on one key and he came right back to search out the source and fix it-all with no charge. I highly recommend his services.

Tom of Philatuner has been our piano tuner since day one. He was at our house for delivery of the instrument, inspecting it to make sure that it arrived from the restoration company in good condition. Since then, Tom has tuned our piano roughly every six months, keeping it in excellent working condition. Tom is always prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. When either I or the curious young musicians in my house (my kids) have questions, we are met with thoughtful and carefully considered answers, even though I am not myself knowledgeable about music. In the case of the rare piano emergency (stuck keys, a recorded audition, etc.), Tom responds quickly and gets us back in working condition. I have recommend Philatuner to many friends who have all had good experiences and would recommend them to whomever might read this review.

I was so impressed by Tom that I had to take the time to leave him a review. To make a long story short, I acquired a free piano by a reputable brand that was in decent shape but had not been tuned to concert pitch in easily 20 years. Previous tuners had simply "tuned it to itself." I wanted to see if we could get it better tuned so I found a reputable tuner who came and said it would never be tuned to concert pitch. Then I found Tom. He came, played a few notes, and immediately knew he could tune it. An hour and a half later, I have a beautiful sounding piano. He seems to have genius level skill for tuning/restoring/renovating pianos. I won't let anyone else tune my piano moving forward. Thank you, Tom!

Tom is the best of the best. I have a very old family piano that was not taken care of for many years and so is in rough shape, but Tom has come out every year for the past four years and tunes it beautifully, increasing its lifespan. Tom takes such good care of the instrument, which I super appreciate given the sentimental value of the piano. He is always on time and truly pleasant to have around. I can't recommend his services enough.

Excellent Piano Tuner in Philadelphia! Tom has been tuning my piano now for about two years.  I trust him completely; he always leaves my piano sounding brilliant.  My piano tends to get tinny after a while and Tom never has a problem with making the sound bright, clear and crisp again.  My piano is older - constructed post-WWII - and I really enjoy having an instrument that has history.  Tom is skilled at dealing with an instrument of this age and has even replaced some hammers and keys for me.  I highly recommend Tom!  If you are looking for a top-notch tuner who will respect and take care of your piano, Tom is your guy.

Tom is super reliable and fastidious. We've had him both tune our new Yamaha and fix an issue with the pedal. It made the smallest, but most annoying (to me) clicking sound, but only under certain conditions. Tom quickly isolated and fixed the problem, and I can't wait to play without that damned clicking taunting me! He'll be our go-to tuner and technician as long as we live her!

Fantastic work! Tom came and cleaned our piano that has been in my family for 45 years. I believed the piano was permanently damaged and could not be cleaned. It was covered with fingerprints and paw prints that I was unable to remove. He figured out there once was a polish applied that was preventing proper cleaning and he made it look brand new! It means so much to me to see my mother's piano restored to its original beauty. He also cleaned the inside as well as tuned it. It sounds amazing! Thank you!
