I asked Lucy Yank to help.me with some design ideas for an early 19thc house with a messy 20th-century extension and a dark, badly-laid out kitchen. I'd had architects and kitchen designers who either came up with expensive and elaborate schemes I couldn't afford, or offered rather pedestrian ideas that didn't excite me. Lucy embraced the brief of an affordable, creative, personal redesign that worked well with the old building and the feeling of the house plus the way I want to live. She got me, and she got the house. She produced a great mood board that laid out the spaces, pointed out next steps to understand the structural aspects of making changes, and suggested loads of great styling and space-saving ideas, especially for the new kitchen-art space. I highly recommend her.

We needed help designing, furnishing and decorating a new loft apartment for Airbnb letting. Lucy guided us brilliantly on what would fit in the space, what was really needed from a practical perspective for Airbnb letting and then listened very carefully to our preferences on style & design, flexing her recommendations with our feedback. We faithfully used her mood board recommendations and are delighted with the result! Importantly for us, it feels like the design we always wanted but were struggling to realise without help. As well as having a brilliant creative eye, Lucy is an excellent listener - taking time to understand what we were looking for. Her advice on both style and practical elements was bang on. Lucy was absolutely great to work with full of creative and fun ideas for decorating our new apartment stop. She really listened to what we wanted, and then also provided her own expert ideas and insights to create something really unique. What we particularly appreciated was how she helped us find some real bargains so we could stick within budget. She was always coming up with cost-effective ideas that really had the wow factor and she also helped us actually save money by avoiding making expensive mistakes and really using the space available in a very beautiful and comfortable way. We are thrilled with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend working with Lucy !

Lucy did some mood-boarding for us just after we moved into our new home. She really took our brief (of a Miami feel) on board - as well as the much trickier brief: that we wanted to buy as much as possible secondhand! We loved her ideas. She introduced us to suppliers who we would never have considered (like La Redoute, Lust Home Wallpapers, and Etsy), and our home is now fun, filled with colour, and personality. Just what we wanted, thank you Lucy 😊

We used Lucy to design our new office interior, turning a soulless grey box into a cosy, contemporary work space. Lucy listened to our requirements and delivered above and beyond the brief. She laid out and met all the key milestones and was on hand for support and advice along the way. Aside from her excellent service her taste is impeccable. Highly recommend.
