I am incredibly frustrated with Parent Heating and Cooling. As a long-time customer, I expected much better service, but my recent experience has been appalling. After a routine maintenance on my furnace and air conditioning system, I started hearing a loud cranking noise coming from the fan that pushes air through the system. When I reached out for support, I was shocked to learn that I would need to pay for another visit, despite the issue arising directly from their service. For five weeks, I've attempted to get a response, but their customer service has been neglectful and rude. I've been treated with disregard, and promised callbacks that never came. It feels like they only care about collecting money and not about the loyalty of their clients. I am deeply disappointed and would not recommend them based on my recent experience.
Had a new AC installed yesterday. I had been doing a ton of research into which company to go with (I knew very little about AC units), and I asked multiple groups for quotes on both conventional AC units and on heat pumps (along with their related grants). To be fair, all the companies I contacted were good for this.
Parent kinda stood out to me though, as they were the only company to initially quote me for a 2 ton, quality brand unit (Bryant aka Carrier) as opposed to a 1.5 unit from a discount company. The price was about 30% higher, so I asked for a quote on a smaller, cheaper one and got one. It was roughly in line with most other contractors. Thing is though that where I work we have a designated HVAC team I'm on pretty good terms with, so I asked them to take a look at my stack of quotes. After a short discussion on how everything is getting more expensive these days, they recommended the more expensive, bigger one for my house. So I went for it. I think it's good of Parent not to just race to the bottom right away, even though I'm sure they lose business over it. I see it as an integrity move.
As for installation, everything went smoothly. They were good enough to help me finish setting up a 2X2 stone platform, as opposed to the usual one stone. Took a little while to get it level, but it looks good! And yeah, it's working great, so no complaints here!
On a recent routine maintenance visit, the technician was very professional and I received excellent customer service. As well, the technician arrived promptly during the prescribed time period.

Joke of a company. I have been without heat for 2 days. I called the so called " emergency line" which states you will get a call back within 15 minutes. I called several times and left 2 messages they never even called back. I would not trust these guys to do work for me after this. I would suggest anyone else.

My furnace died during an extreme cold snap at the beginning of March and they came asap and replaced my furnace. The team members were polite, professional and extremely efficient. Dealing with the front office was also great. I have been a property manager for 20 years and I would highly recommend Parent Heating & Cooling.

This company is amazing! Total focus on customer service and quality work, with prices that are highly competitive. I started using Parent many years ago when I heard their ads on CFRA and I was dissatisfied with the HVAC company I was using. Since then, Parent has done a lot of work for me and helped in the design of the heating and cooling requirements for a solarium we installed 12 years ago. Their work has contributed to the tear-round comfort of our home and the solarium addition. Three years ago, I had them replace my furnace and AC after getting 3 estimates. Parent completed the work on time and with minimal disruption. Their service techs always leave with the work area clean.
I recommend Parent Heating and Cooling without hesitation.

My hot water heater died on Sunday morning. I called Parent H & C first thing Monday morning, they had a quote for me right away and were able to book the new hot water heater installation for Tuesday morning. I was so grateful they were able to help me out so quickly.

20 yr old York furnace stopped working.
Part was no longer available & the last listed price for that part was in the $1500.00 range, a 300 to 400% increase in price in about 5 or 6 yrs an Outrageous price!
New Bryant furnace was installed 3 days later with updated venting to comply with code, as per planned arrangement with Parent Heating & Cooling. Install crew was on time, friendly & professional.
