We have used Outset studio 10+ times for recordings for our business-focused podcast, both in London Bridge and Manchester.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Outset's Manchester studio and won’t be using them again. I had high-profile guests lined up who were travelling in and running late. I called ahead to explain and ask if we could adjust the time, but was told there was zero flexibility without extra charges. The customer service agent offered no real help or alternatives and seemed completely unable to resolve what is a very common issue for content creators.
When I arrived in Manchester, the studio door was closed at the start of my booking, meaning I lost paid studio time. Between that, the inflexibility around moving the slot and the extra cost to extend, I ended up having to cancel one of my guests entirely. I’ve recorded around 150 podcast episodes across different studios, and this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

Your booking was scheduled from 4:00pm, and after reviewing the CCTV, we can see that recording began at 4:07pm. In our booking system, we do state that set-up and pack-down time should be included within the time booked, though we always aim, where possible, to have the studio set up and ready ahead of time.
We completely understand how challenging coordinating guests can be. However, we host multiple bookings throughout the day, and this means we don’t always have the flexibility to move sessions at short notice. We do offer a Make It Flexible add-on which allows for rescheduling up to 3 hours prior to the booking start time, but this was not added to the reservation.
In this case, the request to move the session was made less than an hour before your start time, and due to the full schedule that day, it was simply too close for us to shift the booking. For that reason, we offered the only available option at that moment, which was to extend the session at the standard additional fee, and this option was declined.
We also noted that although your guest was ultimately cancelled, you were still able to record some content within the booked hour and left before the session end time without needing an extension.
We truly value the 150+ episodes of experience you bring as a creator, and we’re sorry we couldn’t offer the flexibility you hoped for on this occasion. Your feedback helps us continue improving our service and communications.

Great setup with excellent service. The staff are friendly, extremely helpful and make everything easy.
I'd recommend arriving a little early so you have time to find the entrance!
