It's difficult yo write this now four months after the event . My dear wife and life companion passed away quite suddenly at the end of a six- year battle with Alzheimer's. Suffice to say Orange Funerals handled everything from there with the greatest care and compassion, enabling me to fulfil Kate's end-of-life wishes as closely as was possible to what she'd told me she wanted .
She was cremated at Canobolas Crematorium, on Wednesday 11th September '24. Orange Funerals arranged a viewing for me before it took place. My last sight of her was there - Kate looked so beautiful – regal and at peace - and that will remain a memory I'll treasure for what remains of my own life.
We were so privileged to be able to take care of your beloved wife, Kate and to be able to welcome you into our chapel to allow you the time to spend with Kate and say your final farewell. As the only family member around at time of my brother’s death and not coming from this area at all, I was extremely grateful for the guidance and assistance they were able to give me. I was unable to remain in Orange for a funeral but this was all taken care of by Orange Funerals in a timely, caring manner and keeping me informed 500 kms away. They couriered the cremated remains to me so I could take them overseas. My brother died in March and I received good wishes at Christmas. Well done and thank you.

I cannot say how grateful I am at the caring and professional service myself and my family received from Donna, John and their staff. At such an emotional time they could not have been any more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Their attention to detail and their personal interactions were amazing. Our family were made to feel as if there was no one more important to them then taking care of our Mum. I couldn't attend the service because of COVID but Donna went over and above to do everything she could to make this as painless as possible. We got the service streamed through so those not able to attend could be there and this meant the world to me.
