In June, I embarked on a remarkable 3-day safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with Openbill Safaris Uganda, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the beginning, the company demonstrated excellent communication and professionalism. Everything was well-planned, from transportation to accommodation.
The highlight of the trip was, of course, the unforgettable gorilla trekking. Hiking through the dense rainforest with a knowledgeable park ranger, we were lucky to come face-to-face with a gorilla family in their natural habitat. The experience was both humbling and awe-inspiring.
Our guide from Openbill Safaris, Makoha Emma, was outstanding—punctual, informative, and incredibly passionate about wildlife conservation. He ensured we were comfortable, safe, and fully immersed in the experience throughout the journey.
The lodge chosen for our overnight stay was clean, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful forest views. Meals were delicious, and the staff was warm and welcoming.
Overall, the 3-day safari was smooth, exciting, and deeply enriching. I highly recommend Openbill Safaris Uganda to anyone looking to explore Uganda’s natural wonders, especially for gorilla trekking in Bwindi. This experience exceeded all expectations.

6-Day Safari to Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park with Openbill Safaris Uganda
I had an amazing 6-day safari experience with Openbill Safaris Uganda, exploring Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. From airport pickup to the end of the tour, everything was well-organized and professional. Our guide, Makoha Emma, was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured we had the best wildlife encounters.
At Murchison Falls National Park, we were awed by the power of the falls, enjoyed game drives with sightings of elephants, giraffes, lions, and buffaloes, and had a fantastic boat cruise on the Nile where we saw hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birds.
In Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kasenyi game drive and the boat safari along the Kazinga Channel offered incredible views of wildlife, including elephants, hippos, and lions. We also visited the Ishasha sector and were fortunate to spot the famous tree-climbing lions.
The accommodations were comfortable, with great meals and welcoming staff. Overall, the trip was a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, and wildlife viewing. I highly recommend Openbill Safaris Uganda for anyone planning a safari in Uganda.

I recommend Openbill Safaris as great tour company. I had only 2 days before my departure on14th of may and they organised for me well packed trip to Murchison falls park, started 6am from Kampala, including: fantastic full afternoon boat cruise on the Nile spotting hippos, crocodiles, nuffalos and variety of flying wildlife, amazing views on the top of the falls, evening driving through the park with succesfull tracking end close ectounter of big herd of elephants, night in good located lodge/camp site inside park, and next day safari along tracks of the park with spotting hundreds of aimals like giraffes, water buffalos, again herds of elephants, among uncountable other animals and beautifull landscapes, with come back to kampala at evening. Ich hatte kurzfristig die 3 Tagestour in den Murchison NP gebucht, die gesamte Tour war gut organisiert und alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Die Guides waren angenehm und gut informiert, Höhepunkte der Tour waren für mich das Nashorn Schutzgebiet und die Wanderung zum Top der Murchison Fälle . Das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis passt .

I recently went on a 3-day adventure safari to Sipi Falls and Jinja with Openbill Safaris Uganda, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail.
Our journey began with a scenic drive to Sipi Falls, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the cascading waterfalls. Nice exciting tour- recommended!
This tour can only be recommended, I had to wait 2 x longer than planned in the morning, but otherwise everything was okay . The guides were friendly and very attentive. In addition to the Big 5, we also saw a lot of other animals in the national park. Highlights for me were the Rhino Reserve and the Top of Murchison Falls . The price/performance ratio fits !
