I've been training in aerial for a few years now, and at Om Factory for the past several months. In addition to being a premier facility for specialized fitness and artforms, the team they've assembled there is easily among the best I've worked with.
I've taken both group classes and received private instruction from the teachers there, and found them all to be extremely knowledgeable, patient and accommodating, and most certainly respectful and inclusive to myself or anyone else in the room. They teach with attention and empathy for anything a student may be coping with, and I found the other students there are also accepting and encouraging to newcomers as well. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting to find such a warm and welcoming community stuck right in the middle of Manhattan.

Not just a studio but a community! When I first found this place I didn't realize I had found my home away from home. All of the teachers are so wonderful, warm, and supportive. It's a welcoming space open to all and all levels of aerial. I have become braver and stronger than I ever thought I could be. If you're thinking about trying aerial this is the place to do it. Couldn't recommend it enough!
OM Factory NYC is truly one of the most inspiring and well-run studios I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help—whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner.
The instructors are outstanding. Each class feels thoughtfully structured, safe, and deeply engaging. They manage to balance technique with creativity, offering variations that challenge you while still making you feel supported. Their aerial and yoga programs are especially impressive—professional, fun, and empowering.
The studio itself is beautifully maintained, clean, and spacious, with a calming vibe that makes every session feel like a reset from the busy NYC pace. Booking is easy, classes run on time, and there’s always a sense of community that makes you want to come back.

OM Factory NYC has become a real home for me. There’s such a strong sense of community here—you feel it the second you walk through the door. The students lift each other up, and the instructors are truly extraordinary: patient, inspiring, and so invested in everyone’s growth. Every class feels like you’re not just training, but belonging. I’ve never felt more supported, encouraged, or seen in a studio. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your soul as much as your body, this is it.
Om Factory is a fun place to learn and grow! The instructors are very knowledgeable and supportive, and the students cheer for each other all the time. There are plenty of challenges for aerialists of all skill levels, so I'm always eager to come back for more classes! There are also plenty of resources available to make class go smoothly (water & grip spray for sale, props & tripods to borrow for free, plenty of storage for shoes, coats, etc.).

Amazing teachers, fun classes and super clean silks. They are also very COVID conscious and enforce CDC guidelines!
Update 2024: After 3 years of taking classes regularly at this studio - still a great place to learn and build aerial skills. Their classes are innovative, teachers are caring and attentive and most of all, they form a great community, cheering each other and having each others backs!!
Om Factory and the wonderful people there literally saved my life. A few years ago I was going through a hard time and tried aerial yoga to cheer myself up. I was terrible at it. I tried again- still terrible. I kept trying until I could lift myself and then went to an aerial hammock tricks class with Marisa. She danced and played around with us and taught us cool, accessible tricks and got me not just to try aerial but to love aerial. I got stronger and went to aerial tricks with Barbara and aerial dance with Izzy. They are both so kind and pushed me to get better, even when it’s frustrating or hard. I continued to improve and went to level 2/3 hammock tricks with Mae and level 3 with Amanda. Years have passed and I feel like I’m an aerialist now. Amanda pushes me to have the proper technique while doing things I never thought I could. She invites me to join a group chat and I end up with a bunch of new and wonderful friends. Mae trains my brain with tricks that involve a lot of steps, supporting me the whole time. Now it’s been three years and I’m ready to try silks. It’s hard. I’m bad at it. Fran insists on teaching me the proper form and vocabulary even when it’s hard for me. I grow to love it and her. I’m going to keep going even when it’s tough.
TL;DR
The staff, teachers, and community at Om factory are welcoming, inclusive, knowledgeable, and wonderful. I came here at a low point and got a family and a passion. Thank you all for the care and love you’ve given me during my journey from couch potato to aerialist.
This is such a cool place- I’ve been coming to classes for some time now and seen a lot of students of all different levels come to class. It’s a very inclusive atmosphere and has classes for folks at all levels. Everyone is held to the same community standards and rules, and all the staff is super kind and supportive.
I consider myself really lucky to have gotten to grow and learn at Om Factory for the last few years. There are so many wonderful teachers who support you and the community in every class is aggressively kind and truly diverse. Truly a wonderful place to learn to fly and to be celebrated just as you are (and also to get insanely strong).
Gorgeous studio who cares about their members and not just profit!
Accommodating, understanding, and airy atmosphere. Beautifully drenched with sunlight, plants, and colourful equipment. Studio also has phone stands for students to use and record. Customer service is good. Coaches are helpful and friendly.
Logistics: mats are provided, no need to bring your own. Cubbies and shoe shelf provided to store belongings. 1 water fountain, 1 bathroom, hair ties available if needed.
I prefer this studio over body & pole.
I absolutely love taking aerial hammock classes with Amanda and Marisa at Om Factory! They’ve built such a wonderful, supportive community — everyone cheers each other on, hangs out outside of class, and it really feels like a group of friends rather than just students sharing a space.
I started my aerial hammock journey with Amanda, and she has an incredible gift for tailoring her teaching to each student’s individual style and strengths. She knows exactly how to push you just enough while keeping you safe and confident. Marisa brings such great energy to every class, and together they’ve created an environment that’s both challenging and welcoming.
I basically manifested this place out as MO😂
