I am a new business owner and reached out to Oliver Hughes for legal support. When I first spoke with Ashley Hughes, she was very kind and mentioned she had experience in my industry and would be personally involved. Based on that, we decided to move forward and paid our retainer.
However, as soon as the payment was made, we were immediately passed off to an associate without notice or discussion. Unfortunately, we then received incorrect legal advice that caused significant delays and additional costs to our business — and we were still charged for the time associated with that misinformation.
I have tried multiple times to contact Ashley directly to review our invoice and discuss these issues, but have not received any response. It’s been extremely disappointing to experience such dismissive and unprofessional behavior, especially after placing our trust in the firm.
I would caution other small business owners to be very careful and ensure you know exactly who will be handling your case before signing on.
We again apologize that the miscommunication at the beginning of the representation caused a delay in completing your legal work. We also regret that the discount in your fees did not assist in addressing your dissatisfaction with our services. Thank you for taking the time to review our law firm.
