I recently took the PB2 course, couldn't recommend it enough. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The course was well organised with good facilities and great boats. Sharon was a great instructor and enabled me to get lots out of the two day course, keeping us safe and building my confidence and skills. Well done all.

Excellent tuition and very good training room facilities. Friendly and supportive tutor Iain making time and easy to converse with. Everything explained properly. Excellent Rib and boating facilities. Balance of theory and practical seemed just right. Very enjoyable experience during my intermediate power boat course. Will book again for further courses.

Great introduction to Power Boating and Certification Fantastic staff and a really enjoyable and informed experience. Highly recommend the 2-day Power Boat Level 2. Learned a great deal and will use my certificate ASAP to get back on the water safely!

What an experience, what a joy, what a thrill! Absolutely loved it! The trainer Oakley is a brilliant young coach. Still 22 though, he’s a mini encyclopaedia of the sea! Will love you join you again in the Advance Level!

Ollie and ramos are great instructors very knowledgeable and great to learn from. I was placed with ramos for the practice he was very helpful and great at explaining and helpful in explaining where you went wrong and how to correct it next time or to how to save it. Ollie was great in the theory and great at teaching the knowledge needed and was not get reading from paper had a bring of everything for everyone way of learning. Great guys and could have a laugh with definitely recommend this course

I did Power Boat 2 course on Thursday and Friday last week. I was lucky enough to be the only person on the course and I was on the helm all the time for the practical part of the course except for the moments when Oakley was demonstrating something. His instructions were clear and I felt confident to handle the rib and execute the various manoeuvres by the end of the course. We took the rib from Saxon wharf down to Hamble Point where we had a good lunch break. The desk bound part of the course was extensive covering navigation, setting a course, tides, wind, buoys, charts, safety etc, all explained clearly and patiently by Oakley who was quick to appreciate when something needed to be explained again. You will not find a better course than this anywhere. Oakley was brilliant.

Lots of experience, delivered in a highly collaborative manner Completed RYA Advanced Powerboat CoC + Prep with Andy and his team in Feb 2026. Have done a few courses with a few shops over the years. Very impressed with OceanSportsTuition. The instructor was highly supportive, professional and flexed the plans based on the needs of myself and the other candidates - I was particularly impressed with the culture of the firm and how this comes through in the approach of instructors, i.e. safety first, non-condescending, service-led attitude. A great environment to learn in. Andy and the centre did a great job supporting us to prepare for the exam appropriately and I went in feeling well versed in the various aspects that we were examined on. I thoroughly enjoyed it, learned a lot and will look to use OceanSportsTuition again.
