NOTL restaurant is little gem hidden away in the 124Q Hotel. We are impressed with the high standards of food and service so evident every time we visit. Beth has gone out of her way to make us feel special and welcome, and Maya’s service was gracious, friendly and warm. We feel very spoiled at NOTL.
Rebecca was great. Her attention to detail and answering all our questions, we really appreciated it!

Unfortunately our experience was somewhat unpleasant due to some issues with our server. We were told the pasta special was a linguine in a tarragon cream sauce with mushrooms. My husband and I both ordered it, however I “subbed” the mushrooms with chicken. Our server suggested this because I don’t like mushrooms. It did not end up being a sub but an upcharge, which is fine whatever. The pasta was super overdone and my husband’s pasta came out with no mushrooms. We told the server and she said there is supposed to be mushrooms and went to talk to the kitchen. When she came back she said she messed up and there was never supposed to be mushrooms and that she thought tarragon was a type of mushroom…. We got an apology and that’s it. My husband would have never ordered a $32 cream sauce pasta. The whole purpose was for the mushrooms. We also ordered sparkling water for $10 a bottle. The second one came out as still water and we were still charged. Lastly, when making the reservation we were asked if we were celebrating anything. I noted it was our anniversary. They asked us again when we arrived at the restaurant. Nothing was done for us so why ask? When looking at reviews many other people said they received complimentary champagne but I guess we didn’t make the cut! Will say the French onion soup was absolutely amazing but unfortunately the pasta situation put a major damper on the whole experience.
We had a wonderful lunch and a glass of the cuvée rose that Miya suggested as her favorite. Great atmosphere, love the decor. Can't wait to come back!!!

Absolutely outstanding experience thanks to Rebecca at the restaurant on 124 Queen St.! From the moment we arrived, she made us feel genuinely welcome with her warm, attentive, and professional service. She knew the menu inside and out, gave fantastic recommendations, and checked in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive.
Rebecca’s attention to detail and positive energy truly elevated our entire dining experience. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly loves what they do and goes above and beyond to make guests feel special. If you’re dining here, you’re in great hands with her!
