What a special, special place. We loved every bit of it. Rooms: perfect. Danny & Lorna: perfect. Amazing to fall asleep and wake up in this spectacular environment. IF we had a complaint - we wish we could have stayed longer! PLEASE do yourself the favour and visit this establishment. You'll be glad you did!
Stayed for two nights in July 2025 and had nothing short of an amazing time. The domes were very well equipped and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. It was a very private setting with only four domes total. The setting and views were incredible. Perfect location as well for enjoying the town of Mabou and its lovely people, the beautiful beaches of Inverness County, and exploring the Cabot Trail. The owners, Danny and Lorna, were super friendly and welcoming as well.
I highly recommend and I will be back again!

Amazing stay!! We had the best time exploring Cape Breton Island with our stay at these unique geodomes. It was secluded, perfectly nestled in the outdoors with beautiful views of mountains and the bay. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore Cape Breton Island and appreciate the beauty of this breathtaking waterfront stay after a long day of hiking and exploring the Cabot Trail. Amazing place to stay and we loved the use of bikes and kayaks. This was our favourite stay of the East Coast and would stay here again!
I had an incredible stay at Northeast Cove Geodomes — the views of the water and surrounding landscape were absolutely breathtaking. The dome was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. Our hosts were warm and attentive, offering great local tips and making sure our experience was seamless. This was the perfect mix of nature and luxury, and I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful place to stay over looking the water. The dome was perfect for us, very comfortable stay it had everything we needed for 2 nights. Didn’t get time to use the kayaks but we managed to eat at the red shoe restaurant which was lovely. Was lovely having no tv, gave us chance in the evening to just sit and watch the wildlife or night sky. Couldn’t fault anything such a wonderful place to stay.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, die Lage ist toll. Allerdings stinken die Domes nach billigstem Plastik (Außenhülle) und wir haben die Nachbarn immer wieder beim "Vergnügen" gehört. Sehr hellhörig.
Ich habe schon in schöneren und weniger "riechenden" Domes übernachtet. die Lage ist trotzdem super, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis allerdings viel zu teuer. Das ist es nicht wert.
The geodomes were large and spacious with a modern kitchen and bathroom! The dome was so comfortable it almost made us forgo going on our planned hikes. The view was amazing - and facing the perfect direction for sunsets! Kayaking on the cove was also a highlight!
We were very fortunate to spend a night at Northeast Cove on our Cabot Trail adventure. We spoke with Danny, who was very responsive and accommodating. Our dome was clean, cozy, airy, and well-appointed with all the comforts we could imagine. If we’d been staying longer, we definitely would have availed ourselves of the watercraft and bicycle rentals included in the booking— we did, however, appreciate and enjoy the fresh apples grown on-site, as well as the gorgeous view out our front window.

We should have e booked more than two nights! If you are seeking high end lodging in a quiet environment, this is your spot. Great experience from the time we booked to our departure.
This was our first destination on a two week tour of Cape Bretton Island. First time staying in a dome and we absolutely loved it. The view was beautiful , it was serene and peaceful. The lake was an added bonus, we didn’t have enough time to use the kayaks and paddle boards. The hosts were kind, helpful, and accommodating. They went great lengths to make sure we enjoyed our stay. My only regret , we didn’t stay longer I highly recommend booking and staying at this propertyI highly recommend booking
