At the time of consultation, your husband’s dengue report and clinical condition showed early warning signs, and as per standard medical guidelines, early hospital observation is advised in such situations to prevent sudden deterioration. Dengue can worsen very quickly around the critical phase, which is why I strongly recommended admission.

My repeated calls were made purely out of concern for his safety and to ensure that he received timely care. I have no financial association with any hospital, and my recommendations are always based only on what I believe is medically best for the patient.

When you had visited the clinic, you were running fever and your liver profile was significantly deranged, indicating possible liver involvement. During the ongoing dengue/hepatitis/tropical fever season, such findings can worsen suddenly and may become life-threatening if not monitored closely. Based on standard medical guidelines, further blood tests and possible hospitalisation were advised only to ensure your safety and timely treatment.
I understand that hospitalisation and investigations can feel overwhelming for families, especially when the patient appears stable. However, my duty as a physician is to prioritise patient safety and to prevent complications rather than react to them when it is too late.

Dr Manuj Sondhi is indeed an infectious diseases expert. My father, 70 yr old, a spine tb patient, was on first line drugs but was not able to tolerate the treatment and experienced serious adverse side effects including swallowing/vocal cord paresis, complete loss of appetite, no weight gain at all and extreme fatigue. It was then when we reached out to Dr. Manuj Sondhi who not only deep assessed his case personally but also modified the treatment as per the tolerating level and the requirement of the patient. My father, although still improving, but has been stable since his intervention for him. I highly recommend Dr. Manuj Sondhi for infectious diseases which is forte. Above all, he is a human first and then a doctor which in today's fasting paced, technologically advanced and sales-driven world, is extremely hard to find. God bless !
