Dr. McGowan was highly recommended by doctors at VSON in Summit and Vail. I had worked with them for 10 years for pain due to increasing scoliosis. When they could do more for me, they recommended McGowan for surgery. We discussed with him and he recommended not too much and not too little spine fusion and nerve decompression. I’m at 6 weeks out and finding real relief from my earlier pain. Thank you Dr. McGowan.

Dr. McGowan consulted with me for 6 mos prior to moving forward with my L5/S1 fusion. He was respectful and NO pressure during this time while we tried nonsurgical procedures. When those didn't work, he had his scheduler call and schedule me with a reasonable wait period the next month. I highly recommend Dr. McGowan to any patient in need of spine surgery.

Cannot say enough positive things about Dr. McGowan and his team. Dr. McGowan is truly a world-class surgeon who handled my very complex 2 stage surgery like it was routine. He spent a surprising amount of time with me leading up to surgery, never felt rushed and he answered every question I threw at him. He was supremely confident in his ability to help me and explained everything I was going to go through. He even ran into a surprise while in the procedure and didn’t skip a beat. Choosing Dr McGowan is truly one of the best decisions I could’ve ever made. I’m now a month out from what is commonly regarded as one of the most painful surgeries you can have and am recovering great and with so much less pain than expected. His team is incredible and I have really enjoyed working with both Chelsea and Tess. They are absolutely first rate providers and I’d recommend this team to anyone. 5* really doesn't even do justice to the work that Dr. McGowan and his team do. I did a lot of research leading up to the decision to work with Dr. McGowan and he exceeded all my expectations.

My PCP as well as other neurosurgeons, nurses, PTs, PAs have all told me that he is absolutely the best, and I have now experienced that myself!
