Dr. Bohnen is one of the best Surgeons! I've had raging back pain with burning and stinging legs from my sciatica nerve. Immediately after surgery my pain was and has been zero, nada, nothing, zippo, zilch!!! Dr. A. relieved my lumbar disc pressure with a laminectomy and fusion. She and her staff, Kate, and Erin, are truly amazing in their profession. Very caring and quick to follow up. I feel like a new person and back to doing the things I enjoy! Thank you Dr Bohnen for the very successful laminectomy you performed on my lower back yesterday. I had my first 25-min walk this morning -- pleased to report no numbness in my feet and only mild soreness in my back! After a year of not being able to stand or walk for more than 5 minutes without the scourge of foot neuropathy, I feel I'm now back to my old active self. Thank you also for educating me on the medical options during our pre-surgery consults and your patience in answering my silly questions. By the way, I have no recollection of my post-surgery discussions with you or the attending nurses (blame it on the anesthesia!), so thank you for calling my wife to let her know the surgery went well. I certainly will recommend you to my 60+ friends (pickleball players and others) who may be facing similar "old age" type back pain issues. All success in your career with Neurosurgery One.

I am a retired ED RN. I received excellent care before, during and after care, with a lot of TLC from everyone involved. My head was not shaved, and for many women this feels so demeaning! This was my second back surgery! Dr. Bohnen and her team were way more than I could have expected! It was a night and day difference between the two surgeries! Dr. Bohnen and her entire team exceeded my expectations! I had a very pleasant recovery and recovered much quicker this time. Life changing surgery that exceeded my expectations.
Before, extreme pain in my right leg and back even with Percocet and could stand up straight.
Afterwards right leg is completely pain free and I can stand up straight again.

Dr Angela Bohnen was a life savor. I had a back fusion a year ago and she was my surgeon.
My journey started with severe pain down my right leg. After being diagnosed with a pinched nerve I under went over a year of pain. I had multiple steroid injections to hopefully relieve the pain. I was also put on Gabapentin for the pain along with way too much Advil and Tylenol. They kept wanting to up the Gabapentin but to me that was just a bandaid.
Finally they were able to do X-rays and Dr Bohnen got involved. She explained to me that she was able to get this problem fixed for me. She said that I have scoliosis in my upper spine and that was pushing down on the nerve that goes down the right leg. She could place rods and pins to open that up and let the nerve breathe. She was the only one that figured this out.
I am so thankful for having this surgery. Dr Bohnen and team were excellent!
Today, a year later I am free of pain and back to my very active lifestyle.

Recently, Angela Bohnen, MD performed surgery on me after it was determined I had a brain tumor affecting the motor skills on my left side. This all came as a shock and surprise since I had no idea until it happened.
I was referred to Dr. Bohnen and I am so very thankful she was my surgeon. Not only is she obviously well informed and very willing to answer any questions I had along with questions from my family, but she did so in a way we all understood. Her kindness and attentiveness was reassuring and comforting in an unsure time. I felt comfortable talking with her immediately.

Dr Bohnen is wonderful. She is very communicative. She explains what shes doing well and in a manner that works for someone that is not in medical. She is very thorough in her answers and responses when you have questions. Littleton Adventist as a facility was very clean considering its is currently under construction. The floor for surgeries was well kept and easy to access post surgery. The nursing staff was equally as wonderful. The whole group provided the same quality of care you should expect from a surgical team.

This Friday (9/13/2024) will mark the 1-year anniversary of my highly successful back surgery (Fusion L3-L4-L5) on Sept 13. 2023 performed by Dr Angela Bohnen. Without question my condition (lower back pain & sciatic nerve pain) has been eliminated and I can continue with my normal activities for an elder man (79). The care and advice I received from Dr Bohnen and AventHealth system/personnel have been outstanding. I would highly recommend Dr. Bohnen for any neurosurgery (back Surgery) condition you may require.

I have nothing but love for Dr. Bohnen. I saw her first in april for an astrocytoma, and the passion she has for her job and her clients is unbelievable. You know how most doctors feel like they push you in and out and maybe don't inform you all the way or give you all of your options? Dr. Bohnen is ANYTHING but that! Her first appointment with me she took her time carefully explaining my diagnosis and my different options. She told me a bit about her work and her studies, and I felt really confident in her ability to take the tumor out of my head. We scheduled surgery for May 30, and even my experience in the hospital was amazing. My surgery had no conplications and my medical team in the ICU for my 1 day stay were adamant on staying on top of my medications, monitoring my symptoms, and checking on my well being. My follow up appointments with her have been great. My last appointment my scar wasn't looking like it should and Dr. Bohnen is staying on top of watching my scar throughout radiation. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the level of care, attentiveness, empathy, compassion and care everyone here has. ❤️
