We booked this trek of a lifetime a few months ahead of time. A 6 day trek along the Mardi Himal trail all the way to the upper basecamp. From the start the guide we booked through was extremely helpful. Very attentive and answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly. It was easy and quick to ask questions in a Whattsapp group and he gave us much confidence in the company. We were picked up at Kathmandu Airport to transfer to our hotel. And again when we landed a few days later in Pokhara. A nice clean vehicle took us to our starting point. We met our guide and porter and set off on our epic trek. From wakeup to bedtime we were spoiled by our fantastic guide. They organised our room every night. Took our food and drink orders to the kitchen and made sure we were well fed throughout. Their knowledge of the trail and different camps were great and they could even adjust the original itinerary to suit our hiking style and speed better. Our guide was very knowledgeable in any topic about the mountain and everything about trekking. Our porter was a machine and carried our excess bags without any complaints! I had an incredible experience trekking to Annapurna Base Camp with Nepal Unique Treks. Our guide, Indra Waiba, was knowledgeable, patient, and very friendly. He ensured our safety and comfort throughout the journey and shared fascinating insights about the local culture and nature. The trek was well-organized with good accommodation and meals. Coming to Nepal in April 2024, we met with difficulties when the bad weather made us have to cancel 2 domestic flights from Kathmandu to Pokhara and from Pokhara to Jomson. Mr. Dil then suggested the alternative plan of taking a car and jeep instead to keep the itinerary. And we were happy with his suggestion.

During the trip, his team used to take care of us very devotedly. The team including Mr. Indra (tour guide), Mr Rabi and Mr. Ramesh (porters) was very professional. With his team we had an interesting trek in Upper Mustang and reached Lo Manthang safe and sound. Those were really memorable days when we had a chance to attend the Tenchi Festival, to visit many relics in Upper Mustang.

During the trip, Mr. Dil used to keep connected and direct the team to support us, to supply us with the best possible services; car, jeep, meals and accommodations were all satisfactory.

The Upper Mustang trip has left us with a deep impression of the beautiful landscape, the sacred Buddhist relics, and the warm welcome of Nepali people. This is really a fortunate pilgrimage.

Everything is more than expectation EBC is amazing, but what made it memorable to me were the Nepalese people that hang with me and my group for 12 days. Dil and his porters are so different from tons of the guides I used to trek with. They never ask personal question, always keep an eye on our safety, know how to give us space, time and encouragement, never push but also really know how to strengthen our mental health along the way. Dil and his men treat us with care, gratitude and true connection. 10/10

If you are considering going to Everest Base Camp - I would highly recommend planning your adventure w/ NepalUniqueTreks Their owner, Dil, brings over 20 years of experience making every part of the trip well organized, safe and personalized. I’m sure there are many companies that claim to have experience, but after spending 12 days with Dil - we quickly realized that nearly everyone that we met along the way knew Dil and spoke highly of him. On such a long trek, the daily trekking requirements can be demanding, the weather sometimes can be unfavorable and the trail conditions less than ideal. Having a guide with the experience like Dil would provide a level of safety and security that allows you to push yourself without worrying. Dil’s approach to the role that the porters play on the trek is unique in comparison to the other tour companies. Porters not only carry your bags, but they also keep a watchful eye on the group, stick with the slower trekkers - creating a truly one on one experience.
