Jeep trip to the land that time forgot We booked a 7 day, 6 night Upper Mustang private jeep trip, starting from Pokhara, with Pema as our guide. He is from Lo Manthang, which meant that he was really knowledgeable about the area, knew absolutely everyone and provided insights and snippets of information that went beyond the standard guiding experience. We couldn't have asked for a better or more helpful guide. Our driver, Monkol, was excellent and we never felt scared, even on some of the post- landslide tracks around the mountain edges!The Upper Mustang is one of the most extraordinary places we have ever visited and we are widely travelled. It is best described as the back of beyond meets the top of the world. The landscapes are harsh, timeless and absolutely sensational and the villages seem mostly unchanged for centuries. Highlights were the Chhoser caves, the Tsarang summer palace, Lo Manthang. Marpha and Muktinath were also interesting.There are, of course, downsides. We stayed in the best available places. However, there were few tourists at the beginning of November, so the lodges were fairly empty (apart from Lo Manthang), open to the elements and the communal area fires/ heaters were not lit. Living in a tropical country, we found the cold seeped into our bones. Although some places had hot(ish) water, we gave up showering as it was too cold when we got out! Most places did provide electric blankets, so sleeping was no problem. It was just the time between lodge arrival and bed. On the return toward Pokhara we continued further than intended, to Tatopani. The proposed lodge was full, so we upgraded to the big, glitzy hotel, which was warm, had hot water and more choice of food. Not the sort of place we would normally choose, but greatly appreciated on this occasion.We went "dry" until the last night, drank loads of water and had no altitude problems (we are 70 and 66). It is not the most luxurious or comfortable trip, but absolutely worth doing if you have an adventurous spirit.

Langtank trek + Bhutan trip This is now the third time I have used the services of Global Holidays Adventure, and the first time as a Solo trekking: After the Upper Mustang trek in 2018 and the Everest Base Camp in 2021, this time the Langtang Trek + a 4 days Bhutan Tour.As always the pre-departure communication with Samsher and Surya was excellent and they always responded quickly to all my questions.Also for this Trek I specifically asked to have Dorchi Sherpa with me as a guide (third time also with him !) and everything went very well, as always!!!I would highly recommend Global Holidays to anyone interested in an adventurous trip to this part of the world. An amazing adventure to Upper Mustang My wife and I just spent the most amazing two weeks on our trip to Upper Mustang with Global Holiday Adventures. From my very first inquiry, Samsher, the boss, was very fast and thorough in answering my questions. The trip to Mustang was exceptional. Our guide was Pema Tenzin, who was born and raised in the capital of Lo Monthang. Being a local and a Tibetan Buddhist himself made all the difference in the world as far as learning about the culture, history, and landscape of Mustang. We were able to meet and mix with locals, visit monasteries and meet monks, visit old houses and see how the locals live, as other tours who don’t use local guides would never be able to do. Since I had trekked there in 2014, I knew many things to see. We took several days traveling to Lo from Jomson and stayed in Ghami and Tsarang on the way. We took an extra day to visit the cave monastery of Luri Gompa, a very important pilgrimage site. Because of Pema’s contacts, we were joined by Dawa Lama, an art restorer of many important monasteries, especially Thubchen in Lo Monthang. Although not a guide, he was able to show us important details in the monastery art in Luri Gompa. Our jeep driver was Prakash Kadel, a very experienced man who took us on some rather precarious roads off the beaten track. We never were scared or worried. Well, hardly ever. I can’t recommend Global Holiday Adventures enough for a jeep trek to Upper Mustang. It will be a trip of your life!

Once in a lifetime experience From the first contact, Surya was very professional, sending me a detailed presentation of the itinerary comparing both jeep and trekking options. The tour can be customised also depending on your budget, staying at better hotels or better Jeep. The whole experience was amazing, because I had a guide who was from the region and he was able to get me access to many places a guide from Kathmandu could not. Hidden temples and private chapels and because he was from the region he could tweak the itinerary to suit my level and needs (for me it was less pure nature and more cultural) and this could be done as the tour evolved - though a discussion with me on various options. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience with a level of bespoke service I didn’t expect. surya came personally to pick me up from the airport, personally returned a thermos I had left behind in Pokhara and even had dinner with me before I left!

Everest Base Camp by Motorcycle - wonderful trip. We travelled as a group of 8 friends from the UK. We did the motorcycle tour from Katmandu to Everest Base Camp North (Tibet) with Global Holidays Adventure. I can thoroughly recommend them as an operator and also the trip itself. We were all experienced riders comfortable with rough roads and pressing on when required. The logistics from Global all worked out well with Surya sorting everything out for us without any issue. On the tour we had Sachin and two mechanics in support. These guys were first class, so helpful and positive. It was a pleasure to travel with them. The Royal Enfield bikes were spot on for this type of trip, reliable, easy to ride the right tool for the job. The landscapes, the mountains and temple tours all blended into a rich cultural experience and at times an eye opener compared to life in the UK. Crossing the border into China and travelling in China (for us) wouldn't have been possible without joining a trip life this. If you are looking for a travel experience and are happy to take each day as it comes I would recommend this trip and the team at Global.

Motorcycle Fun Experience Originally us 3 Aussie’s 60 - 70 year old kids arranged a motorcycle tour to Everest Base Camp (Tibet) from Kathmandu with Samsher and Surya. Having had great communication and feedback in arranging this trip we decided on an additional 8 day ride to take in Muktanith in the Annapurna mountain range. We then travelled back through Pokhara and Rampur down to Chitwan for a day on Safari and then back to Kathmandu.GHA arranged our bikes, drivers, Mechanics and our Guides, they were all knowledgeable friendly and funny.We had a couple of miner issues with the electrics and Carburettors on the bikes so were very grateful to have mechanic’s around to fix the issues.We were lucky to have great weather and the sights and experiences we had were amazing.A special shout out to our guide around Kathmandu and to EBC Sachin. And our Mechanics Biswas and Bishal.
