I have been to MyThai several times now and every time I have had an extremely positive and relaxing experience. As someone who has a preference for deep pressure massage, I have found Melanie to be an extremely good masseuse and I look forward to my sessions at MyThai. Each time I have been I have found myself in an extremely relaxed state, in an increasingly busy world. I would not hesitate to recommend MyThai and Melanie to anyone considering booking a massage in Dumfries.

Absolutely brilliant. I had a very tight upper back, and after working it for a while its now loose and feels much better. The rest of the massage was very relaxing. Will definitely be going back

Based on the reviews, I’m unsure if this was an off day, but this was genuinely the worst massage I’ve ever had.
I booked in as I was experiencing extreme discomfort caused by tight shoulders. On arrival, no consultation took place which I did think was a bit strange, but as I was in pain and desperate for the massage I went ahead. On reflection, how could I be deemed fit health wise if no information was provided? The massage itself was painful, which I expected as it was a deep tissue, but usually along with the pain there is also a sense of relief. On this occasion it appeared the masseuse was going through the motions, constantly massaging the same shoulder knot over and over with no real effect. Again, on leaving a deep tissue massage I am usually sore but in a comfortable way, unfortunately on this occasion I remained in pain.
Over the next 48 hours the pain in my shoulders increased significantly, to the point I could stand it no longer and booked in with another Thai masseuse. My ability to sleep and work was being affected due to the pain. I would never usually and have never previously had another massage in such a short space of time, but the pain was debilitating. On this occasion the massage was sore, but after approx 20 mins I felt the tension and tightness reduce significantly and left the appointment feeling a huge sense of relief. The masseuse on this occasion could not understand why my issue had not been resolved, or at the very least partially resolved during the first appointment.
After my second appointment I reached out to Melanie (Owner) to explain my issue and inform her that I visited another therapist after being left with increasing pain . I requested a refund of the cost of the first appointment which I believe to be only fair due to the issues caused and the fact I had to pay out again for a second appointment elsewhere to resolve these issues. Melanie was polite but declined a refund, instead offering a voucher for a return appointment. I explained I would not be accepting this offer due to my negative experience previously and that I would be raising a payment dispute via PayPal as the service provided was not as described. To date, Melanie has ignored the PayPal claim which I find really disappointing.
Went to My Thai as my shoulder was completely knotted with limited movement from work and the gym. I read the reviews and they weren’t lying!
I got a deep tissue massage and it worked a treat I couldn’t believe the outcome! They got rid of all the knots and movement was back to normal.
Thank you ladies I’ll be a returning customer for sure!
