I took Orla’s online breastfeeding class when I was pregnant and found it incredibly helpful. She provided so much helpful advice and covered everything from positions to equipment you may need. It’s so helpful getting recommendations for these things as there is so much on the market. My breast feeding journey was going well until about week three. I reached out to Orla for a consultation and found it extremely beneficial. She went through specific positions that would help and gave such good support. If it wasn’t for that session I was on the verge of giving up. We did a couple of check ins after the session which gave me peace of mind. She has so much knowledge and is lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend Orla.
I can't recommend Orla enough. I required an urgent appointment after leaving hospital with my little girl. Orla arrived less than 24hrs later. Her care and attention got us through a difficult few days and her follow up was so thorough that I felt so supported. The result of which meant I could continue breastfeeding and my little girl is thriving. Don't hesitate to book with Orla if you need lactation support.

The support we received from Orla 4 months into our second breastfeeding journey was top class and we're so glad we reached out for a home consultation. She is everything you'd hope for - thorough, kind and professional. Having struggled with some issues that weren't resolving for a few weeks, Orla really took the time to go through our history and figure out what might be going on - she didn't just go with what might seem most obvious. Because of that, she was able to offer a whole range of tailored supports that made both an immediate and progressive improvement. We're now problem free and still happily breastfeeding! Orla is an incredible lactation consultant. I did her intro to breastfeeding course before my first baby and am now tandem feeding after having my second a few months ago. Also referred my sister to Orla for an online consultation as she lives in England, and her reassurance and advice was invaluable at that time.

Orla’s class was great, I feel a lot more informed, confident and excited about breastfeeding now. I have just harvested my first colostrum and it has made my day. Great to have all the resources to look back on and its excellent value for money. I was able to claim most of it back through my health insurance. Class goes at a nice pace and is easy to follow, being able to do the class from the comfort of home is ideal.

My consultations with Orla were so helpful! She is the reason I am still breastfeeding six months on, despite returning to work when my baby was four months. Her advice on pumping, bottles, timings, and quantities was invaluable and she helped me make a plan for pumping / combi feeding when I wasn't sure how to make it work. She is not like other lactation consultants I have come across, she is open to whatever works for you and won't push you in any particular way. I highly recommend booking in with her. Thank you Orla!

I have booked Orla as my last hope having seen two lactation consultants before her. She was very understanding and non condescending in her way of communicating, on top of being highly knowledgable in the field. She was very responsive in all my questions through whatsapp. Her careplan was very comprehensive and individualized. My baby is now breastfeeding beautifully at 6wks pp and hoping it continues. Highly recommend

Four month baby getting worse as the weeks were going on. Full of gas, screaming as the day would go on and not completing a feed. So constant snacking. I drove all over Cork, looking for answers. Finally a lady I met a breastfeeding group mentioned she got Orla and that she was fantastic. Prays were answered. Within minutes of meeting Orla, she did a full assessment and discovered a tongue tie. She gave me great advice, support and confidence in continuing to breastfeed my daughter. Thanks to Orlas tweaks, my daughters gas has completely settled. I'm better rested and my daughter is content. Highly recommend Orla.

I should have written this review last year, but I never got around to it. I had a consultation with Orla last year (June 2024) when my baby was 9 weeks old. Breastfeeding was really painful for me even though my baby had a tongue tie release done. Orla came to our home and helped us figure out what was wrong and helped us find a better breastfeeding position that over time made the pain to go away. It also helped me to bond with my baby. I saw a few lactation consultants before Orla and they didn't really help me. Thank you so much Orla! My boy is 14 months old now and I'm still breastfeeding him. I believe Orla helped to save our breastfeeding journey and I'll be forever grateful.

Orla came to my house a week after our baby was born for a consultation. She has a lovely, calm and reassuring presence which is needed when you’re a new Mam feeling unsure and vulnerable!
Orla didn’t make me feel under pressure or stressed at all with her advice. She was quick to respond to my emails and very approachable - I would highly recommend Orla to other Mothers starting of or considering breast feeding!

I had heard of Orla from many different sources and the fabulous work that she does. We had a really positive and informative weaning consultation. I felt I didn’t have the tools to start weaning and I needed some guidance. Orla has a lovely gentle approach and we made a plan to suit my daughter and I. I came away from the consultation with all the guidance and tips I needed and with a pep in my step as I felt I could start weaning with confidence. Our weaning journey is working so well and my daughter is adjusting to it nicely. I am so grateful to Orla and the work she does.

Orla gives great, practical advice and has a lovely gentle way about her. She helped me to correct baby's latch, getting confortable positioning for feeding and gave good advice on expressing milk also.

Orla was a lifeline when I was struggling with my breastfeeding journey. I was slow to start breastfeeding given a bumpy start with jaundice and I was considering giving up as I was finding it quite upsetting.
I reached out to Orla who came to my home to offer support and that one good feed gave me the motivation to keep going. We still have a way to go but sound practical advice is what you need when youre your most vulnerable. 100% recommend.
