A/C system stopped working on Friday evening (of course) Called Comfort Zone (my usual repair company) to come out. Jake came out and was GREAT. Back story: I’ve had my issues with inexperienced technicians coming out and issues resulted. This time was VERY different. Jake has 25 years in the industry and was very knowledgable.
I was expecting the absolute worst even though my unit was only 3 years old (again based on some prior experiences). I’ve had a HUGE learning curve about what salt air does to metal so, even with regular maintenance and all the preventatives, HVAC units notoriously have issues.
Jake inspected the unit, inside and outside, and determined the safety breaker inside the unit had gone out. It was late & he needed to get a couple of parts front the shop. Since it’s February and not hot, we agreed he would come back the next day, Saturday.
Jake was phenomenal! He took apart the unit and explained the system to me and that the breaker inside the unit was there to trip when necessary to protect the motherboard, smart hub, and the unit itself. He showed me where the breaker parts had rusted (Sea Air) and would get to work to make everything work again.
Jake was just such a kind and genuine human being. As a retired police officer, I am VERY suspicious when anyone unknown to me comes to my home, even from a company I’ve worked with for 3 years.
Jake was very straight forward and GREAT representative and ambassador for the company. Whatever they pay him, he needs a HUGE raise. (I had been at a point of changing repair companies)
Because of Jake’s knowledge, and complete transparency of his history, explanations of what happened, what needed to be done to fix it, and his VERY obvious intentions of wanting to do the best job possible, I will always ask for him in the future.

Called at 4:45 pm to get an estimate for a specific HVAC system, talked to a dispatcher who has no clue about the company or its services and is there to collect your info to pass to his manager and schedule a visit to your home. If a company cannot give you a quote over the phone (most good HVAC installers can), is means they're trying to upsell you something you don't in person - AVOID.

Our dispatcher’s role is simply to gather information and schedule these evaluations with a qualified professional. We believe this is the most responsible and reliable way to quote an HVAC project.
