We unfortunately recently had a house fire that started in our garage. We were put in contact with Dave Simon through a mutual friend. He was phenomenal throughout the process of getting our house remediated and dealing with our insurance company. We couldn’t have gotten through the horrible situation we were put into with the fire without him. He’s incredibly professional and knowledgeable. We couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone dealing with devastating issues with their house.
My husband and I were having a very difficult time with our home insurance company with our claim for our kitchen area due to a clogged pipe that burst. Feeling very frustrated with the stress we had for months trying to deal with our insurance company to get a fair amount for the damage we looked for a public adjuster. Dave is AMAZING at what he does. He really helped out my family and i and he went above and beyond to help us. This was the first time i ever had to submit a claim so i was unsure how to even go about it but dave helped me every step of the way and helped us get a great settlement. I recently had some water damage from a leaky toilet on our second floor into the kitchen below ruining 3 cabinets. A Water Drying company was first on the scene to remove the damage and dry the area. I paid the $1K deductible and they submitted balance ($5k) to insurance company. There were additional bills from plumber and carpenter which totaled another $2K.
This was my first homeowners claim in almost 40 years with a major insurance company where I have ALL my insurance, including home / auto / business / workman's comp / liability. I thought I would be treated fairly. After their insurance company adjuster visited and did extensive measurements she said they would get back to me soon.
The following week I received a very detailed report outlining what they would cover and what they would NOT. They paid the water drying company, but NOT the plumber NOR the carpenter and then offered about $1K to replace / match the cabinets.
I didn't respond to them, but instead researched independent Insurance adjusters online, looking for D. SIMON & ASSOCIATES a name that was suggested by the first Water Drying Company that visited. I liked what I read seeing all 5 star reviews. Although I didn't live in the Freehold area I wrote to them anyway asking if they could help. Mr. Simon replied stating they cover the entire state and had an associate near me that covers North Jersey. Mr Patrick Campione immediately followed up with call and appointment and took over all contact with the insurance company (where he was a former employee).
He did is own independent review of the situation and after a few weeks was successful in getting us almost TWENTY times their initial offer. Very professional and his results were amazing.
I continue to tell everyone about our situation. Most people are not even aware such representation through an independent adjuster is available. Insurance companies are out to make a profit, and apparently not do the right thing for their customers. March 2017 I had a fire in my home one day before my birthday and 4 hours away from getting on a flight to my home country for a funeral. It was one of the worst experiences I’ve gone through, but the good Lord sent a cleaning crew that recommended Dave Simon to me the next morning. He gave me a call and he explained how he was going to help my family and I as we struggled with the loss of our home. He was able to organize and help us stay in a hotel for our first two weeks out of a home and then I was able to rent a house of my choice until my home was rebuilt. Dave was always available to answer all my questions. Dave promised me that my family and I would be back home within 9 months to a year and sure enough it was rebuilt within a year. Words cannot explain how happy we were to be back home. I highly recommend Dave Simon because he is a very professional and honest insurance adjuster.
David Simon stepped in to our catastrophe within an hour of being called. We suffered extensive water damage to our home when a pipe burst on the third floor during an extended cold spell in January.
David immediately took over and assessed the situation far more rationally than we did. He contacted a damage mitigation company and had the remediation work started within 3 days.
David had tools that showed the extent of the water penetration, both visually and behind walls. He demonstrated that the surface damage was only part of the overall picture.
David assisted us in preparing the claim. He had us gather the necessary documentation and took extensive pictures and videos. This facilitated our claim and made the process efficient.
He was always available for questions and updates, and his contacts with the insurance company representatives were quite extensive. He remained calm and reassuring throughout the process, relieving our concerns.
The entire process took several months, however we received a fair settlement which allowed us to complete all of the necessary repairs. We do not think this would have been possible without his assistance.

If you suffer a loss that you need to involve your insurance company, you need to contact D Simon & Associates. They work as advocates on your behalf.
