⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After spending a lot of time researching solar, I chose Mr Solar for a 9.3kWp solar PV system, Tesla Powerwall 3 and myenergi Zappi EV charger, and I’m really pleased with my decision.
Every team involved was excellent. The scaffolding and roofing teams were punctual, professional and left everything tidy. Lee, the electrician, was knowledgeable, took the time to explain the system and made sure everything was working exactly as it should.
The owners, Ian and Nadine, were outstanding throughout. They always answered calls and emails promptly, nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were genuinely committed to making sure I was happy with every aspect of the installation.
There were a few minor issues after the installation, but they were dealt with quickly and professionally. That, to me, is what really matters.
The system is performing brilliantly, the installation looks fantastic, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Solar to anyone considering solar panels, battery storage or an EV charger.
Thanks again to the whole team!
Ian and the team were very professional and polite. The process was made more complicated due to myself having to arrange some roof repairs before the work had started. But once these works were complete the Mr Solar team got everything done very quickly. We were shown how easy the app was to use and how to see how much we were saving, although it took a while as the install was completed in November. But once March arrived it has been great.
Great service
No solar input
I first noticed a problem when using the Givenergy app to monitor solar input and battery storage use. The battery was constantly 100% yett there was no input from the panels. Initial fears was that the panels had failed (installed in 2013), but with 2 separate strings this didn't seem likely. I contacted Ian and he suggested that the first route was to carry out a drone survey which showed the panels were fine. He sent an electrician ( Matthew) to check system and eventually managed to rectify the issue. Very impressed with service i received and would highly recommend Mr Solar for your solar needs.

Amazing service
I discovered that our solar panel had stopped generating power
I called the office and spoke to a very knowledgeable and pleasant lady. Nadine. She confirmed what had suspected inverter failure. But before going ahead she asked me do some tests and suggested that maybe a hard reset might work.
This didn't so I went ahead with getting it replaced. The unit arrived in 3 working days and the Electrician Jamie came 2 days later as promised. He was very efficient and pleasant and we are now generating again.
Really happy with the service all round
Thank you
New Router changing Dongle information
We changed Internet provider so our new router was not reading the GivEnergy dongle and showing offline on the GivEnergy app. After sending half a day trying GivEnergy app to change info to new router and failed. We contacted Ian at Mr Solar and he sent us all the information required to do it and on the first time it was up and running. In the pass we purchased GivEnergy items from Ian. I have now learnt a value thing, in the future I will go to Ian first instead of GivEnergy because you spoke to a person and not a robot. No wonder GivEngery reviews are less than 2 out of 5 and Ian's is 4.7 out of 5. Great news for a local company should have gone to Ian first.

Excellent service, professional and friendly.
I contacted MR Solar PV after completing some significant due diligence. Ian from Mr Solar designed the system with me, Tesla Powerwall, Expansion pack and Tesla Gateway coupled to 25 Aiko Gen3 485w Solar panels. These were professionally and efficiently installed by Alistair and Russ. An excellent installation, I was very well supported by Ian and Nadine, answering all the questions I had throughout the installation/commissioning and close out paperwork process.
I thoroughly recommend Mr Solar PV and the whole team at Mr Solar.

We were recommended to Mr Solar by a friend who had solar panels already installed by them. We are very pleased we went with the recommendation. Ian and Nadine were extremely efficient prompt and knowledgeable. Ian was able to guide us through the choices for the installation and the team (Russ and Gerry) were hard working and worked to a high standard. We were impressed with the whole experience.
We already had solar panels under the original FIT scheme and recently a friend had had a large installation installed complete with batteries, we weren't sure if adding a battery to our system would be beneficial but Ian explained in detail - we had another company who basically just said yes you'd benefit! - so having this info we were happy to go ahead, the battery was installed in May and has definitely saved us money but more importantly it has giving us flexibility to use the stored electric in the evenings rather then feeling we have to do everything during the free 'sun' time.
Have since added a second battery.
Three persons I would like to thank, firstly is Ian that gave me a competitive quote, secondly to Nadine who arranged a site survey and any other communications required and to Russ the electrician who installed the battery.
The process from start to finish was only 9 days, getting the quote to installation of the battery. Great service.
Russ who fitted the battery was excellent and his workmanship was of a great standard, he is a credit to your company Mr Solar.
I would recommend this company to other's.
Mr Solar defined and installed a great set-up for our bungalow.
We have solar panels, an inverter and a battery. The design meets our needs to provide us with more than enough free electricity for our domestic needs. We are currenly selling the excess back to our supplier, and have an expectation that we won't have to pay for electric again as this will be covered either direct from the solar panels or from the income they generate.
We only use gas for heating and hot water, and are looking at options to get rid of them (not with an air source heat pump), and we're also considering an electric car now that we know we have more than enough electric.
Mr Solar did a great job with the design and installation was quicker than we expected having altready spoken to some other suppliers. Also Mr Solar were very helpful in supplying what we needed to get the DNO connection established so that we could sell back the excess.
We will probably use again for the car charger, as we've been happy with the cost and the delivery timeframes for existing work.
Very disappointed with the solar panels because I think i was badly informed what they are there for. My bills are very high this last 4 months not sure if I did the right thing.

Dear Bernard Camenzuli, As you have electric only in the home and an Air Source Heat Pump in the winter months you will not produce enough electric to run the home. We have advised you to extend the battery 5kw to 10-15kw to achieve a greater savings, both the Solar PV panels and by importing cheap overnight electricity from the grid for use during the day. I am happy to revisit the home and run through the system again and help you make greater savings on your electric bill.
It is now a year since we had our solar panels and batteries fitted - very helpful and knowledgeable service from the first visit to the end of the installation.
Just had to ask for advice as we changed our internet router (and needed to change the connection on the inverter) and Ian was very patient and helpful.
Would recommend Mr Solar.
