My husband and I went to see Mr. Mortellaro for asset protection. Let me tell you, he's one of the good guys. I thought he was going to rush us out of his office since it was a free consultation. To my great surprise, he took the time to educate us on asset protection laws. Thumbs way UP!
I cannot recommend Mortellaro Law highly enough. My wife and I were in a very stressful, time-sensitive emergency situation with my mother-in-law’s recent Medicaid long-term care approval and concerns about our family home. We sent an email the night before with no appointment, but I decided to walk in anyway to try to get an answer.
Luckily, I was able to speak with Crystal, the executive assistant, and she made sure we were seen right away. That same-day responsiveness is rare and valuable. From the moment we sat down, the team listened carefully, understood the urgency, and gave us clear, reassuring answers that lifted a huge weight off our shoulders.
They explained everything in plain English and made us feel truly cared for during what has been an incredibly difficult time for our family.
Mortellaro Law is hands-down the most considerate, thoughtful, and professional law firm we have ever worked with.
If you are dealing with Medicaid, elder law, or any urgent estate planning matter, do not hesitate — call them. They truly go above and beyond!
Mortellaro Law is a team. Michelangelo is engaging and informative but equally so are his staff. Working our trust allowed us to be involved directly with four other staff and more behind the scene. They all worked diligently with us to personalize the trust for our specific needs. Thank you to a great team. Highly recommend!
We appreciate how accurately they answered our questions and concerns for my aunt Joan M. The process was explained to us, the videos
Online were also a tremendous help navigating terminology. We are looking forward to working with them as we navigate thru this process. Each member we have talked to has been professional and accommodating of our time and preferences .
Trust & Estate planning
We heard Michelangelo speak at a lunch & learn in our community in Lakeland, FL. We were very impressed with the scope of knowledge he had on estate planning and elder law. He put it in easy to understand language. They were very accommodating by setting up a day to come back to our community for our initial consultation so we did not need to travel far. From the initial consultation to final signing we met & worked with very nice & professional people. They all made the experience a very easy process. We now have peace of mind that when the time comes all the details of our estate are already taken care of! The “tool box” with all the bells & whistles we thoroughly explained. We could not be happier with the entire process. Thank you!!

The entire staff…and I mean ‘entire staff’ was so friendly & helpful. Each time we go there it gets better, as you feel like they become family & try to give you the most information for your family situation. We learned things that we had no idea were extremely important for us to know in our circumstances & situation. We HIGHLY recommend Michelangelo & staff. A big Thank You to all of them!
Mortellaro Law office was recommended by a friend for our trust. Since the consult was free, and we were under no obligation, we met with Michelangelo Mortellaro to discuss his services. Michelangelo is very knowledgeable and provided us with eye opening information we never even thought of. At no time were we ever under any pressure to obtain his services and he suggested to take our time to think it over. Going forward, we were very impressed with the details of as well as the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. We were very pleased with the level of service we received and would highly recommend Mortellaro Law to anyone in need of their services.
We used Mortellaro Law to set up a trust and they were a tremendous help! The Team, especially our contact Emma, were exceptional in responding to any questions we had during the process and following up with any documents or information they were still needing from us. If you need any assistance with estate planning I would highly recommend them!
Great experience
My husband, Robert Krieg, and I learned about the law firm's offerings at a community meeting and decided to engage with them. After answering their extensive questions about what we wanted to do with our property upon passing and how to make it less stressful on our children, we received a lengthy document filled with words and phrases beyond our comprehension. Susan Dachs was our point of contact at the law firm, and we are thankful that she took the time needed to translate the legalese into everyday language, so we were comfortable with the meaning of each sentence.

Great experience
Susan Dachs patiently guided us through our journey to document completion. Although the documents were initially time-consuming to review and understand, they forced us to make some very important decisions that had not occurred to us. Without the burden of probate, we can rest easy now, knowing that our children and their children will be cared for.

I was looking for a law firm that could complete my needs. Mortellaro Law Office was very professional and respectful of my time and Michelangelo answered all of my questions and was very informative. I also dealt with Susan in his office, who was very responsive and showed great attention to detail. Michelangelo and his team made my experience seamless and comfortable.
I look forward to referring friends, family and colleagues to this knowledgeable firm.
I cannot emphasize how pleased I am with the services I received at Mortellaro Law Offices. Michelangelo Mortellaro is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, while taking the time to fully review your particular situation. His staff is equally impressive. I found Susan to be very responsive and the attention to detail was outstanding. I will certainly recommend them to family and friends.
End-of-life planning
We met Mr. Mortellaro at a community elder care event and accepted his offer of a free 30 minute consultation at his office. He answered all our questions and suggested appropriate options based on our needs but there was no pressure to proceed further. When we decided to make some much needed updates to our end-of-life plans, everyone on the team was courteous and professional in all our interactions. We would recommend Montellaro Law to anyone seeking elder law services.
