I was in a wreck on I49. State police ruled the accident was 100% the other person's fault. I called morris bart. They assigned a lawyer out of New Orleans to my case. He was THE WORSE LAWYER. He was so bad that he didn't even file a claim for my truck with the other guys insurance company. I thought insurance paid off my truck. Nope. Found out today it was considered a repossion. So now I owe $20,000 on a truck that someone else was at fault for totaling out but I have to pay the balance. Morris bart sucks. Call anybody else. I got screwed over by morris bart. They deserve zero stars

On New Year’s Day an uninsured drunk driver (with a suspended license) turned into my lane on the New Orleans west bank and hit my car head on which totalled it. I had known of Morris Bart through his distinctive ads since the 1980’s. So I telephoned his office that same day and was given a legal team led by Mrs. King.
The Morris Bart legal team facilitated my medical care and took care of the bills. Within two months they called me into the main office downtown New Orleans on Poydras Street to sign paperwork for a settlement of almost $5000! This was partly due to the fact that Morris Bart benevolently decided to charge me less than their regular rate. I understood that personal injury lawyers usually take nothing if the case is unwinnable. They only take a percentage (approximately a third) if you win which gives them incentive to win the case. So it’s a win-win situation. In Louisiana law that percentage is evidently 36%, but Morris Bart only took 30%. I didn’t even ask them for that, and they did not have to do that. I appreciate their consideration.
Additionally my auto insurance paid me over $2000 for my car. Incidentally I had found a better car than the one I was driving previously for just $4000 which meant I netted $3000 from this accident (and a better vehicle).
While I was at the main office, Mrs. King gave me a care package with a nice duffle bag containing a T-shirt and several other gifts including Morris Bart’s own hot sauce.
I’d recommend Morris Bart’s legal team to anyone and would not hesitate to call them if I was in such a predicament again. They reliably turned a bad situation into a good one.
