After a bit of a rocky start with this accountants, they now deal with 4 of my 5 active companies. And, the major contributing factor in this is the excellent care and attention that I received from Arshiya.
I actually insisted that she be kept as my main point of contact in my dealings with More than Accountants and I feel extremely looked after.
On another note, their unlimited package is very expensive and scales super fast in terms of transactions and turnover. So unless your profit margins are scaling the same you'll get yourself in trouble. Super long 24 months contracts mean that kind of grow actually penalises you during this term unless you're not careful.

"UK" front for overseas, poor quality accounting work.
*24.6.25 After this review was posted MoreThan contacted me to resolve the contract issue, which has been done, and I have changed the 1 star review to 3 to reflect that*
I foolishly believed the many positive online reviews when I employed this company to do the accounts for a small UK business. I discovered quickly that, although ostensibly a Bolton company, all our accounts work was carried out by overseas staff. Those staff, while unfailingly polite, simply were not able to understand our requirements which I assume was due to cultural differences. I found myself reporting the same account errors month after month. I assumed service quality would improve as "they got to know me" but they never did. I eventually asked to leave MoreThan after nine months and was advised that, as I had signed a 2 year contract, this would need to be paid out in full, even if they didn't do any more work (!). Other accountants have told me this is highly unusual.
I gave up keeping track of the mistakes and errors MoreThan made in our accounts, in the MoreThan contract documents, and in my personal tax returns because there were so many. They even managed to lose forms they had initially received by email (how?). And even I could see mistakes in my personal returns which they acknowledged and had to fix. I put these mistakes down to the overseas staff who I assume were either too busy or insufficiently skilled to correct them properly.
When I reviewed our Xero user list there were 40 or so MoreThan users connected - for our tiny company. This explained perhaps why they never really understood our accounts, as so many different overseas MoreThan staff had worked on it.
I also realised that, as our year end was not aligned with the MoreThan contract, either I'd be paying them for 6 months for nothing, or, would be forced to extend the contract in order to get my year end accounts done with the fees already half paid. I repeatedly put this issue in writing to Melissa, the sales rep, and she repeatedly refused to answer it.
I sent a long list of mistakes and issues to Steven, "Client Experience Manager". Very polite but, long story short - after an "investigation" the fault was all mine and no, I could not quit the contract, even if I didn't want any more services.
So since February 2025 I have been paying a second accountant to do our accountancy work, even though I am also having to pay the MoreThan contract. I don't trust MoreThan to do the work correctly and I don't have the time to correct their errors. I've wasted huge amounts of time trying to get MoreThan working to a decent standard, something I never expected from a "UK" accountant. I did of course wonder if I had unrealistic expectations, or, wasn't giving MoreThan what they needed to do proper work. But, with my new (cheaper!) small accountancy supplier, working with the same information, the accounts are done quickly and reliably with no errors.
In summary, I wish I had never heard of MoreThan, or was smart enough to insist on a short term contract. MoreThan are 5* excellent at one thing only - chasing for payment of their monthly fee. If I'm late I get emailed and telephoned repeatedly - by someone in the UK. If only they were half as good at accounting.
