I orderded the shrimp tempura and the food looks terrible. Avocado is spoiled, lettuce is wilting and looks unappealing to the eye.

I eat a lot of Japanese food in NY, and this might be one of my new favorites! You get a large amount of food, and I found the prices to be very fair. Some standouts are the spicy scallop roll, the shrimp tempura roll (which was packed with so much delicious shrimp), and the beef negimaki, but really, everything we had was great.
I wish I had caught her name, but the young woman who served our table was so gracious, pleasant, and kind—the exact kind of service that makes you feel truly welcomed.
My family even had them sing happy birthday to me (On my first visit there—I didn’t even know if it was that kind of place that does that!), and they made me feel so special.
The employees even took the time to wish me a happy birthday again on my way out.
Such delicious food and terrific service for a birthday or any occasion! I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu. Thank you so much Miyama!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the city, and they win by a landslide every single time I go. Reasonable price + quality of the fish + insanely great presentation is unbeatable. Go-to takeout AND dine-in, which is really rare. Relaxed yet elevated environment inside- it’s just the best place if you’re in ridgewood/bushwick.

The vibe of the place was really nice. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever you had a question. Food was great; came with a large group and had some sushi boats, sushi tray set, hamachi kama, and some appetizers.
There is only street parking, so come by public transit to avoid a hard time finding parking.
Highly recommend.

Reasonable prices for the quality of food you get!
I stopped by and tried a few dishes, including the unagi donburi, salmon skin salad, and toro rolls. I honestly loved them all. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared.
If I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely come back.
