Normally, I don’t write reviews, but I feel obligated to leave a five-star one for Mighty Pavers after they completed my retaining wall project.
Before starting, I interviewed several contractors who each had perfect five-star ratings and not a single rating below five. However, Jack stood out to me for several reasons, and I decided to hire his team.
Before the project started:
1. Professional, knowledgeable, and skilled in 3D design: Jack is very experienced in his field and skilled at creating 3D renderings. Although we already had a design from our architect, we had never seen it in 3D. After our first meeting, Jack quickly produced a 3D rendering, made thoughtful adjustments, and added artistic touches based on my preferences. I was so impressed by his efficiency, design sense, and the professionalism and knowledge reflected in his work.
2. Fair pricing: Although his price wasn’t the lowest, his proposal included a broader scope of work and allowed more flexibility than others.
3. Excellent communication: Jack was punctual, responsive, and patient. He clearly explained each step of the process and was open to flexibility when I had special requests.
During the project:
1. Consistent communication: Jack stayed in close contact throughout the entire process. He always answered my calls or messages promptly and discussed the next step with us on site whenever a decision or input from us was needed.
2. Respectful and considerate: He and his crew respected our opinions and cared about what mattered to us. For example, they carefully removed and replanted small trees and bushes after finishing the wall, since we wanted to keep them. He also gave us flexibility to make adjustments, such as deciding where to end the wall or whether to add another layer of blocks.
3. Accurate estimation: Our architect used an incorrect block size, and other contractors based their quotes on that mistake. Jack created his own 3D design using the correct block dimensions, giving us the most precise estimate.
4. Exceptional workmanship: His crew worked diligently and with great attention to detail. The team leader was especially meticulous and maintained high standards for quality throughout the job. After observing them a few times, we gained complete trust and peace of mind.
After seeing the final result, I can confidently say every penny was worth it. The design, communication, and craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. I am deeply impressed with Jack’s design sense, fair pricing, clear communication, consideration for customers, and outstanding workmanship. Our retaining wall project turned out beautifully.
I’ve already asked him for a quote on a patio, and once again, his pricing is very fair. I can’t wait to see the 3D design and the next phase of our project — the patio, walkway, and driveway.
