They helped facilitate all the necessary permits. They took their time making sure our yard was smooth and level before seeding. Haslett (near East Lansing) Removal of our 55 yr old 20x40 -12 ft deep gunite pool was completed by this great team of guys, Chris, Alec, Garrett and Dan. All knowledgeable and very polite. The communication from start to finish was great, including Corrine in the office. The guys also removed our filter system, part of the concrete patio, and lots of big boulders, and a tree stump near the pool area. Even cleaned and swept the street where the trucks were parked. ALL the details were handled, which we appreciated by us and our close neighbors. AND, now we are watching the grass fill in nicely! Highly recommend Comet Pool Services!

I have been looking forward to this large demolition project and Chris and his team worked hard to ensure proper care was taken during the process, including accessing the yard from the behind business. For 1/4 of the cost to raise and level the concrete, Chris and his crew removed it all. Now we get a fresh start where we can create a new living space with grass and a deck. Thank you Comet!

Great job! We got a few quotes on pool removal and Comet Services LLC came through with the best price. Chris and his team were very nice and professional. We had an in ground fiberglass pool with a liner, heater, and filter that we wanted removed. They came out gave a quote, set up a date and showed up with some nice equipment. They took out everything, city came by and inspected, then Chris and his team came back and backfilled the massive hole. They cleaned up all the dirt in the driveway and street and planted grass seed which is growing. Didn’t have to do anything to help them, very pleased! Thanks again! Dan and Laura

We needed to remove a 50-year old inground pool, and we retained Comet Services to do it. They did a superb job. They showed up when they said they would, they took care to avoid using heavy equipment too near our septic lines, and they filled, graded, layered with topsoil, then seeded with straw cover at end. They finished just now, and in under three full days. We highly recommend their services. Totally professional and reliable (and reasonable pricing too!).

Removing a failing swimming pool is fraught with questions and difficulties. It's not like most people have ever done it before. So we thought searching for that reputable company who would do a good job at a good price with professional integrity would be very hard. With Comet Services it wasn't at all hard. From the beginning, when we expressed a need that timing was important, Comet came through. Not only were they efficient, and a interesting to interact with, but they were fun to watch. Father/ son team made it all look so easy. First order of business was the removal of a sidewalk fence for access and the placing of steel plates over the sidewalk to protect it from cracking. They separated the concrete, recycling what they could, disposed of liner, defunct pool equipment, and trees/shrubs which we asked to be removed. They then brought in good replacement dirt which would match ours, added topsoil and leveled, graded, reseeded and covered with straw. The fence was replaced and nothing is left but a smooth green space waiting for spring. Sidewalk was not harmed. The city inspector was very pleased with Comet's work saying it was so much better than a lot of what he'd seen because Comet even removed the pool's clay bed saving us an inspection headache. The project was completed on schedule in three days. And there has been no need to call them back for anything. It had already been thought of and attended to. A family owned company, they pride themselves on their work and care for their clients. We highly recommend them.
