My wife Ruth and I have been involved with Chris, Sandy and the team for at least a decade. We did not know them before hand and yet we return and return and return. We moved from valuation, to repair, to innovative repair, to reimagining, to fabrication and on to bespoke. MU team is totally dedicated to creating quality that takes away your breath, leaving no stone unturned, burning the midnight oil and carrying an ethos that leaves obsessive compulsives shaking their heads. That is meant to be a complicate. And they do it all with a lovely chill attitude that leaves us feeling special, like family, when we go in. Wherever they are whatever they become….follow this team. Hands down the best and most professional experience creating our beautiful Engagement, Wedding and Eternity Set with the Metal Urges Team. Sandi is a dream to work with, listening to and respecting our opinions without judgement every step of the way. As we live interstate, Sandi and I worked together via email and phone calls to design the ultimate set, which I thought was going to be a challenge, but was so easy! They even sent me 3D printed versions to compare before we committed. The ongoing care and maintenance our pieces receive every time I visit Tassie is an invaluable added bonus. Could not recommend more highly.

Approximately eight years ago we went fossicking on the north east of Tasmania with our children, we were fortunate find a beautiful sapphire. We decided one day that we would have a ring made for our daughter‘s 21st. Chris Hood came up with a wonderful design that our daughter was thrilled with. The team at MetalUrges went above and beyond with my wedding ring repair (it had been repaired interstate previously and I wasnt happy with the finish) and cleaning/plating both my engagement & wedding rings; arranging for it to all be done while I was in Hobart for a few days. On pickup they looked absolutely spectacular, and as good as new. I was thrilled, and so incredibly happy with the advice, friendliness and quality of the service at MetalUrges. Highly recommend!!

Truly amazing service from the team at Metal Urges and cannot recommend them enough. My engagement ring that we bought elsewhere had a broken claw, so went in to see if they can fix it. I had had some other issues with it, and Sandi and Dan suggested a small change to the claws and now it catches less on things. They even let us look through the microscope were the claw had broken off. I was in a bit of a rush to get it fixed as I was only in Hobart a short time, but they were so quick and I got the ring back the next day! Thank you Sandi and Dan. :D

We have visited the wonderful team at Metal Urges several times over the past few years for repairs, additions to existing rings and 5 years ago, our wedding bands. The service has always been wonderful. Most recently we had the pleasure of meeting with Jeffrey, to help us design memorial rings to include ashes from our beloved Chip the dog. The care of my husband and I, and the attention to detail from the design stage right through to collecting the finished rings this week, has been incredible. We were treated with the upmost care and respect through the whole process. We are delighted with the rings and would like to say a huge thank you to the entire team.
