This place shocked us! My husband and I saw it had grear reviews but we when got there it was a cute "mess hall" for a quaint little log cabin resort. We decided to go anyway and the food was amazing!! My husband got the trout and I got the short rib toast appetizer for my dinner. They both were excellent!!! The huckleberry crisp was also delicious. Totally recommend this restaurant! Don't let the location keep you from going!!

Ho. Lee. Cow. This is amazing considering it's inside a rural campground. This rivals the quality of food found at high-end restaurants in big cities.
I had low expectations (I just wanted food after a long day of travel and work), but I am absolutely floored.

The Mess Hall in Victor is a hidden gem! It’s located in an RV park, but don’t let that fool you. They have a great chef who clearly cares about the food. The chicken pot pie, elk shepherd’s pie, and burgers are all excellent. Add a pool table and shuffleboard, and you’ve got a great place to grab a meal and a drink. Definitely worth checking out!

Fantastic little eatery in Victor. Great service, relaxed vibe, excellent food options (short rib toast us a must try) and a great drink selection. Located inside a cute RV resort, just outside of town, it is a must try when in Victor.

Hiding inside a summer cabin resort, this place was the real deal. All the food was excellent, as was the service. The trout, the chicken pot pie, and even the humble chicken sandy with fries were all fantastic. Open 5-9 with a limited menu, it feels like there is something for everyone.

The shortib toast was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten, the flavor was excellent! The elk shepards pie and chicken pot pie were also quite good. Looking forward to coming back

Good portions of food and friendly service with games upstairs. Only suggestion for improvement is they were out of vanilla ice cream for the skillet cookie and didn’t inform us.

So glad we decided to try it out because the food is phenomenal! Between the 4 of us we had the Valley Burger, Trout and Chicken Pot Pie. I'm not even exaggerating when I say my burger was the best burger I've had in a long time! Everyone said their food was delicious. There was only 1 server, and I didn't get her name, but she was amazing and running her tail off. We will most likely eat here again during our stay.

Had a wonderfully satisfying meal at The Mess Hall and highly recommend it!
Following the reviews of others, we tried the trout which was absolutely loved. It was seasoned well and came with toasted almonds and vegetables that complemented the taste and texture of the fish well. The side of mashed potatoes was creamy and well seasoned while the asparagus (broccolini ran out) was cooked well and made for a healthy side dish.
Garlic fries were fragrant and generous in portion.
We loved the beers, especially Jenny Lake, which was refreshing.
Service was attentive, friendly and prompt. The food was even brought out by what seemed to be two young gentlemen whose smiles made us feel the heart that went into the cooking. Plus, the were kind enough to split the sides knowing that we were sharing the main. Great service for sure!
Highly recommended spot which I still look back fondly on. The Mess Hall is one to visit!

Great food and service. We had the trout and it was cooked really well. The sides were great too. Vibes were great. Not too expensive as well.

The food and ambience was great. Service was lacking; Just going thru the motions, lack of follow-up, no energy. Had to get her attention twice too be helped.
