I have been going to Rob, Colin and the team at Melbourne Auto Works for years now, across two vehicles, and have always been very satisfied with their work. They always explain the work that needs doing, and always perform it well, for a reasonable price. If they have a suitable cheaper option, such as a tire selection, or part supplier, they will talk to me about it first and get my decision before acting. I recommend anyone give them a try, they will definitely delivery on quality and price.

Fast, reliable, and professional
They were absolute lifesavers! I came in with an urgent need for light repairs on my van and a tight deadline to get to my next job. They immediately prioritized my issue, fixed it on the spot, and got me back on the road right on time. Their professionalism and quick response were outstanding. I truly could not recommend them more highly!

Get a 2nd Opinion
Quoted close to $600 of fixes and labour for a RWC on my new 2nd hand car that I purchased in NSW. I refused to pay as it came with the equivalent from a close friends car dealership up there and had no issues.
Went to a place round the corner and none of these ‘issues’ were apparent, go figure.
Was a similar experience getting a RWC when selling my old car. Over $1500 of fixes needed. I paid. Should’ve gone elsewhere then too. Won’t go in to some of the contradictions on that ordeal.
I hate providing negative reviews for small business but we have to put a lot of trust and good faith in our trades. I’m honestly very disappointed in my experience on both occasions and feel I was taken for a ride by one of the few RWC providers in the area.

Starter motor replacement.
As a retired motor mechanic who once did all his own maintenance on his own vehicle I know the significance of ensuring that not only cost of a repair is matched by 3 quotes but the actual repair is done by competent technicians. That’s why I chose Melbourne Auto Works to replace my starter motor and personally dealt with Colin who in turn gave me this confidence. Thanks
