Koch Construction did an update to our front porch for us and we are so pleased with how it turned out! The crew made several suggestions on changes that we had not thought of, but they made a huge difference! They were good about watching out for our plants in the area and made sure that they got any landscaping rocks out of the grass and back into the plant beds. Horrible business!! We have been dealing with them for months now regarding a leak in the roof. First they said nothing was wrong, roof still leaked. Secondly my husband found caps to put on vent pipes to see if this was the issue. It was not. Took them over three weeks to get back out to put caps on. They came back out to look at roof again and stated they would be back later that week to repair the area. No one showed that week and no phone calls. I had to reach out to them two weeks later, inquiring when they would be out. They stated we were on the schedule for the next day. The day they were to come out to do the project, we get a call stating that the shingles that are on our roof have been discontinued and they can't do our project on the scheduled day. They stated Menards in Quincy is the only place they can get them and they wanted to charge us $200.00 to go get them. Our question is this, why did they wait until the day of the project to let us know this, and how can you do business this way. After months of waiting for our roof to be repaired, we now have to start over with someone else. We were able to match our shingles with a different brand that is carried in stock at Menards ourselves. I am sad to say that I would never recommend this company to anyone for any roofing job. They came highly recommended by a personal friend who is a realtor and the reviews showed wonderful work. Maybe it's because our job was small and didn't bring in a lot of money, and that speaks louder than anything to us that we were treated this way because of that.
We are very sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience with us. We always strive to provide clear communication and quality service, and we regret that this situation has left you disappointed.
To clarify, we were not the original installer of your roof. When we inspected the leak, we did not find anything obviously wrong with the pipe flashings, though we did go ahead and bid the work exactly as requested by the owners. We are currently booked about 12 weeks out on repairs, but because you pressed the urgency of the matter, we did our best to fit your project in sooner than our normal schedule allows.
Regarding the materials, we do not typically purchase or store shingles and accessories weeks in advance, as we simply do not have the space to hold every customer’s materials until their scheduled repair date. Unfortunately, it was not until the day of your project that we discovered your shingles had been discontinued. We understand how frustrating that must have been for you, and we sincerely apologize for the delay and added inconvenience this caused.
Please know this situation was never about the size or value of your project—every customer and every repair matters to us. We regret that our efforts fell short of your expectations and that we were not able to resolve your leak in a way that left you satisfied.
We truly appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve how we handle scheduling and communication in the future.

Paul and his team were great to work with. Paul is very knowledgeable, honest, and fair. His team did a great job with our roof replacement completing the job in one day. They moved planters out of harm's way and put them back when finished, did a good job protecting things during demo, and were very thorough with clean up after at the end of the job. We could not be happier with our new roof and are very satisfied with Koch Konstruction.
We just moved into a community with an HOA, right next door to the HOA president and both our houses needed roof replacement. However, the shingles specified in the 30-year-old bylaws are no longer available and the color specified is being phased out by almost all companies as well. We and our neighbors got a few estimates, but Paul really took time to go over options with us and even came to an HOA meeting to answer questions about the shingles so that we could get the by law change made to allow us to proceed with our new roof.
In fact, at this point four of our neighbors have also engaged Kock Konstruction for new roofs and one neighbor also had gutters replaced. Everyone in our little community is very happy with the work that Paul and his team have done.
This seriously means so much—thank you for taking the time to write all this out. It’s awesome to hear everything went smooth and that you felt taken care of through the whole process. Paul really does go all in for homeowners, so it’s cool to see that effort make a difference. And that HOA meeting… wild that it actually hailed during it. Can’t make that stuff up. Huge thanks for trusting us and for spreading the word. Your whole neighborhood has been amazing to work with, and we’re just super grateful for all of it.

Koch Konstruction replaced our roof and installed additional gutters. Several big storms have rolled through and I am happy to report zero issues with the roof and gutters. Koch did a phenomenal job in mostly ONE DAY! The 2nd day was to finish a small area above the porch. Initially, Paul explained material details, warranty options and overall cost that was easy to understand. He even recommended shingle color but also left us with other samples/options to consider. The entire job was professional and I still can’t believe how clean and tidy everything was after they left. Thank you, Kock Konstruction!!!! A 5 star rating is a no brainer.

If I could give Paul and his crew 10 stars, I wouldn't hesitate. Being recently widowed, the thought of replacing my roof made me sick to think of the process of securing bids and the cost.
