I originally tried to book an appointment with a highly rated shop closer to home, but they don’t work on older SUVs. Instead of brushing me off, they referred me to Martel Automotive, a shop with an even stronger reputation.
That recommendation was spot on.
My vehicle is a 1998 Lincoln Navigator. That’s not something you hand to a shop that relies solely on modern diagnostics and hope. Martel is staffed by seasoned mechanics who actually understand older trucks. This isn’t a place where someone stares at a screen and shrugs. These guys know what they’re doing.
Pete quoted a fair price and delivered exactly what he said he would.
The waiting room deserves mention. Three oversized, genuinely comfortable sofas, the kind you’d expect at grandma’s house. The reception room had a relaxed retro vibe along with interesting reading material. Not that you’ll be sitting there long. They had my vehicle ready in record time. I was honestly surprised by how efficiently they worked.
Most importantly, the work was first-rate. I had previously asked other shops to tighten my shift mechanism, and they either ignored it or didn’t know how. Martel fixed it properly, along with everything else that needed attention. No half measures.
They’ve earned my business. This is now my go-to shop. Thanks, Pete and crew!
We were visiting from Canada, and Sam and his team provided excellent service. I highly recommend this shop, if I lived here it would be my regular shop for service.

My car is a clunker. Today I asked for an evaluation of the noise and whether I was safe driving or not.
They checked out my 2012 Juke. I was told it's on its last legs. What's so amazing is the honesty and care I feel from the staff every time.

I had to have some front end work done and was quoted a price for the work by another company after they installed and I paid for new tires only to be told I wasn’t safe driving it. I took it here asking for second opinion and these guys were amazing! I was treated with such respect and they took the time to explain everything to me without me going into detail of what the other company told me and price they had quoted. Well here at Martel they came in way under the other company’s price and went above and beyond and fixed my front brakes that the other company said was still good for another six months to a year, I never mentioned the brakes because I thought they were good! Sam explained he was able to get the brakes and rotors replaced within the original price quote because they were almost gone too and I would’ve been right back in with in a few weeks metal on metal. I broke down and cried, I being a widow, only being in Florida 2 years not knowing who to trust with my old truck well God sent me to the right company! I’ve been using a chain store for oil changes and such but not anymore these guys will get my service for now on!
Thank you for your honesty and service, she’s handling so different now than before and I honestly didn’t think it was bad but I don’t go out often but I now know the difference! Again thank you and God Bless your family and business!

I had to get my window fixed last week. They were able to get me in quickly, and you couldn't tell that my drivers side door was ever touched. And it works perfectly. Thank you guys for great work just in time for this rainy weather.

I was referred to Martel because I was told I needed a new alternator in my 2017 Mustang. The level of stress I was feeling because of the cost was unreal! I scheduled an appt, which I was able to get in the next day which was awesome! My car was taken back right on time and thoroughly checked! Come to find out my car was perfectly fine! No new expensive alternator needed! And what impressed me the most was the transparency and honesty of this shop! They’re so nice, so friendly, and take the time to explain what they do!
