First time around the purchase unfortunately fell through but we were struck with the helpfulness, kindness and professionalism of Julie, so got in touch again once we had found a new place to purchase. It was absolutely the right decision, and she again offered excellent advise, guided us through the process and communicated expertly throughout. We had absolutely no problems with the mortgage process and it was smooth sailing for that side of the purchase. Julie is incredibly on-the-ball, alerting us to any changes or opportunities whenever they arose, and was upfront and honest regarding mortgage and insurance advise. Julie helped us with a long and drawn out property purchase last year, as first time buyers.
She went above and beyond in all regards: She fit us in at short notice, made herself available for any follow up questions we had and was happy to have calls whenever anything came up, to go through in depth. She was proactive and encouraging, getting in touch when there were developments or delays, to discuss our options.
She was extremely knowledgeable - providing both advice from her long career in the industry and also recent lender attitudes and preferences, mortgage rate changes, approval times, and mortgage and banking features available with each lender.
She took the time to listen to what we wanted, before making any recommendations and clearly explained the implications of each choice. She never pushed or influenced us away from our preferences and explained both the advantages and disadvantages of our options.
She was extremely effective, knowing when to follow up, what resources to consult, who to speak to at each lender and how to handle each development. She managed submitting several applications, extensions and follow-up queries and updates for us over the course of the year. She collected and checked our documents before submitting, fixing issues we had overlooked or misunderstood, to ensure a smooth approval process from the lenders. And then was very quick to submit and keep things moving.
We couldn't recommend Julie enough.
