This facility was the location of my 5th MRI this year, and I was somehow still impressed by the service. The office ensured that my insurance was approved before continuing with the booking. All the staff and techs were lovely and the appointment itself went seamlessly. The amenities in the waiting room were great and even the jewelry baggies offered in the changing rooms were clearly a thoughtful addition, but what made me very happy to see was this clinic giving patients the MRI CD without needing to request it beforehand.
I also feel that one of your employees deserves recognition: Regina handled 1. calling me right away to offer another slot after ZocDoc doublebooked me at their office. 2. Calling to confirm my insurance was approved 3. Letting me know I could snag an even earlier appointment 4. Checking me in the day of 5. Also being the tech to prep me for the MRI. Regina is more than an asset to your clinic - as the face front of the practice for most patients, she is setting a gold standard of bedside manner and expectation of care when they first walk in, and that effort, when fulfilled spectacularly, should be validated duly.
Glad clinics like this exist in NYC still.

overall horrible experience. upon arrival I was told they did not contact my insurance ahead of time so I was not approved to use my insurance and had to either pay hundreds out of pocket or take time off work again to come back another day. then after paying out of pocket, wasn’t seen by the MRI tech until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment and I was the first appointment of the day. they only give you the MRI images via CD which is extremely inconvenient and sometimes not usable by doctors if you want a second opinion. I have been trying to get my itemized receipt to submit to insurance for reimbursement for weeks now and they have yet to send it to me. feels like very shady and unprofessional business practice to make money

Getting an MRI is never a great experience. It’s expensive, a little nerve-wracking, and there’s often confusion around results and billing. I needed multiple MRIs and spent *days* calling around NYC trying to get quotes. Some places quoted me over $1,700 just for a facility fee — totally insane.
I ended up going with Manhattan MRI, and honestly, I’m really glad I did. Sharon was super helpful — she walked me through the pricing, helped make it manageable, and was just genuinely kind and easy to talk to. I went in expecting the worst, but she made the process way less stressful.
The MRI tech was also easy to work with, and I got my results right away without having to chase anyone down. Overall, it was as smooth as this kind of thing can be.
10/10. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s straightforward, helpful, and doesn’t try to nickel-and-dime you.
Thanks Sharon and team!
I was very nervous about my MRI because I’m very claustrophobic and have had some bad experiences in the past. Not here, though. The staff was warm and welcoming and the technicians were very patient with me. MRIs are not exactly pleasant but this was about as good an experience as I could have hoped for. Would definitely recommend.
I’m so happy I found Manhattan MRI! Hands down the smoothest and fastest appointment I’ve ever booked. The entire staff was incredible, friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience stress-free. I 100% recommend this place if you need an MRI. Bonus: they offer complimentary drinks and coffee while you wait. Truly top-notch service!

This business is doing something shady with my insurance and I’ve spent hours on the phone with my insurance over the last few months trying to figure out exactly what happened. They send the MRI pre-authorization as if it’s an in network provider - and then they turn around and bill you as out of network. This messes up all of my out of network calculations and I would never have used an MRI provider that is out of network with the cost. Not only that, they will only send your results to doctors that prescribed and then do not provide any digital copies of the MRI - only CDs. Any medical facility with modern cyber security practices will not load a CD into their system from an unknown source. So if you want to get second opinions etc, they can only see a one line summary from the radiologist on a piece of paper. They provided a smooth MRI experience sure - but every other interaction with them had been a nightmare. Be careful about using this clinic on a referral.
