The place its beautiful and well taken care of. But we did have a very bad experience feeding the farm animals. We went with our 20 month old and the goats were going CRAZY for food like they’ve never eaten before, one of the goats almost jumped over the head of our baby, and then my husband was feeding the donkey and our baby was next to the donkey and got kicked in the belly.. we were so scared. We ended up in the emergency room double checking our son was okay… we dont know if the animals are always like this or that day they didnt feed them much… my recommendation if going with kids, do NOT enter with food.. they will go crazy on you.. the worst part is that we pay for the food for animals at the entrance

Went here for a birthday treat. We had the private tour of the aviary and then wondered around the gardens. It was absolutely unreal! Hundreds of different birds from all round the world, happy to sit on your head! Our guide was Kyle - he was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I also got to meet the tiniest and newest addition to the farm animals, Bunny, a donkey. It was a very special birthday experience! Highly recommend a visit.

Great range of birds. Most are very people friendly and like to sit on your shoulder, arm or head. Worth a visit but take some time to look around the gardens also. Staff are very knowledgeable and passionate animal/bird lovers

A superb garden retreat that uses the landscape perfectly. Mr Shipp has invested heavily and continues to improve the gardens and facilities. Congratulations. We did the full walk circuit which is steep in places but well worth it. Superb views in many places. It will only get better as the gardens continue to mature.

Needed some "me time" so decided to check out the Maleny Bird World and Botanical Gardens.
I was impressed by the colours and friendliness of the birds including Macaws, Parrots, and Cockatoos which flew down to sit on my head and shoulders. For people who don't want this experience, dusters are provided to indicate to the birds where not to land.
I was pleasantly surprised to find there was also a petting farm with rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, alpacas and miniature donkeys.
The beautifully designed and maintained gardens could be accessed via foot or rented golf carts (for a bit of fun or for those who may not be able to walk very far).
Various gazebos spaced throughout allowed for incredible views, shade and somewhere to sit while enjoying a bite to eat.
The Maleny Bird World and Botanical gardens is great value for money and the perfect place to get away from it all to relax and unwind.
I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be returning.

Beautiful scenery and location with vast amazing views. If you're into the gardens of the venue expect more of a natural bush scene instead of planted pretty unique flora. Gives the feeling of walking through the a scenic forest more than a bright vibrant garden which I prefered.
And the bird tour was amazing! About an hour of bird interactiviting with a majority of different species. And the wonderful tour guide made sure everyone felt included in having a interaction with the adorable feathered creatures!

No words!! Do not miss going to Maleny Gardens & Bird Park!! 🥹 This was probably my favourite experience of my whole holiday. Awesome value for money, went on a Thursday and not busy at all. Beautiful gardens, engaging tour by Lydia and the farm friends, cafe and feathered friends staff were all so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful gardens that encourage you to slow down and take in the view. We enjoyed lunch (which is of a picnic style) and visited Birdworld after. Birdworld was awesome, I personally have never gotten so close to so many amazing birds before. Where else can you have a parrot sit on your head??
10/10 would recommend visiting.
