Let me start by saying I’m in my early 60s now. I’ve traveled the world and experienced a lot in my life, but what happened here is something I feel people should know.
I first met Tamara in early 2009 during one of the most difficult periods of my life—my divorce. Her practice was located in Walnut Creek, California at the time. After more than two decades with my wife and raising three kids together, she fell in love with someone else. It shattered me to my core. For years I cycled through heartbreak, confusion, and trying to figure out how to move forward. Eventually, I realized I needed help—real help, not another temporary distraction.
I reached out to Tamara and asked if she had any recommendations for the depression I believed I was experiencing (my own self-diagnosis). After asking a few questions, she suggested a Reiki session. Honestly, I was skeptical and half-convinced I was throwing myself into yet another dead-end attempt to feel better. But I decided to give it a chance.
We set an appointment for a one-hour Reiki session. When I arrived, we talked for about ten minutes so she could understand what was weighing on me. Then she asked me to lie on the table fully clothed and placed a lightly scented towel over my eyes.
